We got this for my kids who were having nightmares. We wanted something to help them relax at the end of the night and to comfort them when/if they woke up in the middle of the night. The astronaut itself is very cute, but the lights are so cool! When we first set it up, we all ended up on the floor staring at the ceiling. My husband even joked that we should get one for our room. We like that it’s adjustable so we can make it less bright and have it move more slowly to try not to overstimulate the kids. It’s very cool, has lots of settings for the colors, and is super satisfying to watch. Highly recommend!

I bought this for myself. You heard me. I’m 82 and have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Pills are not my thing so I thought I would try this galaxy projector, never expecting the results I’ve gotten. But the price was right. Years ago, I tried a couple of less sophisticated devices that didn’t help. They both lacked the many important features that this little beauty has: a remote control, two power off settings, speed and brightness control, a gorgeous wide-coverage display, a very small footprint; and a USB connector. When I’m ready to sleep, I turn it on with the easy to use remote control, set the timer to 45 minutes, change the nebula to the softest green, and set the star and nebula speeds to the slowest settings. I lie back and watch. I have never seen it actually turn off because within 10 to 15 minutes. I am sound asleep and miraculously stay asleep (that part has never happened before). I’ve thought a lot about why this little inexpensive device has had such a powerful effect on my decades-long sleep disruptions, and have come up with a few theories: the calming green colors, the soothing slow motion, and the fact that I’m not going from bright light to being plunged into total darkness. I’m not a sleep expert, but I know how refreshed I feel in the morning. Are you looking for a great gift for an insomniac?

I never write project reviews. It’s 3am, my 6 yr old son just ripped me out of a REM cycle with a swift body slam to the chest. After I got my bearings, I led him back to his bed, tucked him in and rubbed his back for a few minutes until he fell back asleep. I lay in his bed staring up at the stars thinking “wow, I can’t believe this still works”. He’s had the space man on his bedside table for about a year and a half and it baffles me that it is still functioning. My house has been a war zone for the better part of a decade. My “kids” more closely resemble feral dinosaurs than human children. Ceilings, walls, floors; all damaged..chipped, or constantly scuffed and destroyed. Curtains repeatedly ripped from the walls. Clothing quickly worn through or stained to the point no amount of OxiClean or Shout can save the fabric. The majority of toys (basically anything plastic) have an approximate 24-36 hr lifespan. You get the idea. So again, the fact that this space man is still in one piece BAFFLES me. The remote is obviously long gone but you can still manually change the light features on the back of the space suit. The moon plate that the space man stands on is removable. I super glued those together almost immediately or that would have been long gone as well. These stars are on practically every night and usually left on throughout most days (daily reminders to turn off his space man in the morning go ignored) and it’s still going strong. Bang for your buck, excellent product. Wishing this spaceman the best of luck in the year 2026 🙏

Awesome room aesthetics, super relaxing, and the magnetic head adjustment is great ​I got this astronaut star projector to add some cool ambient lighting to my bedroom setup, and it definitely delivers on the visuals. It completely transforms the room at night and creates a really relaxing vibe. ​Here’s my experience after using it: ​Projection Quality & Aesthetics: The nebula effect is bright, colorful, and covers a large portion of the ceiling and walls. The starry pattern paired with the flowing nebula looks incredible in the dark. Plus, the astronaut figure itself looks cool as a desk or shelf piece even when turned off. ​Magnetic Head Design: One of the best features is that the astronaut’s head is attached magnetically and can rotate 360 degrees. This makes it super easy to angle the projection exactly where you want it—whether on the ceiling, a far wall, or directly over a desk—without having to tilt or balance the whole base. ​Remote & Timer: The remote control is very convenient for switching between lighting modes, adjusting brightness, and setting the auto-shutoff timer, which is great if you like falling asleep with the lights on. ​The only small thing to note is that the remote requires line-of-sight to the back of the astronaut to register button presses consistently, but once you find the right angle, it works fine. ​Overall, whether you want ambient lighting for gaming, relaxing, or just upgrading your room aesthetics, this projector is well worth it and looks awesome on display.

I really enjoy this galaxy projector. The projection itself is excellent — the colors are rich, vibrant, and look fantastic on the ceiling and walls. It creates a relaxing, immersive atmosphere and definitely delivers on the “wow” factor when you first turn it on. That said, I couldn’t quite give it five stars because the feature set feels a bit limited. I would have loved more options, especially moving stars or additional motion effects. The nebula looks great, but the stars themselves are mostly static, and a little more animation would have taken this to the next level. Overall, it’s a very nice projector with beautiful visuals, and I’m glad I bought it. With a few more customization and motion options, it would easily be a five-star product.

I love this light. It was recommended by a friend to use as part of meditation/relaxing time and it was absolutely worth it. I love the different color options and being able to control the speed of the fading. I like the timer function to fall asleep with

EDIT: I received an unsolicited email from this seller backing up their product with a full refund and replacement unit. I understand this an unusual and uncontrollable issue. We were going to purchase another regardless. Wonderful seller! We greatly appreciate the over and above customer support provided! I can't wait to have my gorgeous light back!! This was our second time purchasing the astronaut. Our first one was amazing and looked fantastic all the time! Everyone comments on it. One day it just stopped working. They're inexpensive enough, so we bought the same one. We didn't even take it out of the box until after the return period, as we use it in our houseboat in a different state. We tried to set it up last time we were there which is as simple as plugging it in, and NOTHING!! We tried lots of troubleshooting but no luck. We are extremely disappointed. It is so very cool when it works, absolutely spectacular!! I will include some photos of our old one when it worked. Next time we will open it immediately when it comes and ensure it works!!

We got a similar device a few years ago for my daughter instead of some rope lights she wanted. She love hers. We finally got around to getting one for our bedroom and love the atmosphere it creates. I wish the nebula part had a lower brightness and there was more brightness option for the stars but for the money, it was great! It’s very quiet and I hear nothing from the unit at all. The instructions mention a timed setting but if you don’t activate it (or hold the timer on the remote until the timer little light on his pack goes out, you get the effect all night long. The coverage in the ceiling is good but you have to have it on a tabletop instead on top of a cabinet like we have it. It’s very adjustable but the closet it is to the ceiling the projection of the stars looks great closer to the unit but further away the lights are a little stretched. It’s still pretty to look at in a dark room before you sleep. Some last words: the cord seems long enough but with some reviews about cord issues (loose connector or bad connector) I used my own USB-C cord and a wall charger about 1-2 ft off the floor, so the cord included wasn’t long enough for me anyway. The noise in the video is my fan I sleep with at night, not this unit. Our bedroom is about 20x24 feet and a 12 ft ceiling with him projecting from a 7 ft high cabinet.

This is amazing! One of the most spectacular projector ever! It’s not just good it’s AMAZING! I love how it’s so realistic, smooth and pretty things ever! It has movement and honestly one of the best things I’ve ever purchased in Amazon. I’d definitely recommend this. And I would purchase this a million times if I could!
