HOWARD RF6016 Restor-A-Finish, 16 oz, Dark Walnut

Shocked that this worked so well. We have a cherry table that we got down from our attic. It had water rings and scratches all over. This solution covered the marks up beautifully and disguised them. It’s been six months or so and I need to apply again. There isn’t a smell and the solution is thin. I wonder if it’s the same stuff that is in those touch up pens. It’s magic and thankful I found this stuff!

Wow, these results were even better than I expected on the 1925 bed frame that belonged to my grandmother. Easy to apply, buffs out minor surface scratches, you can see so much depth in the wood grain. People keep telling me I should go into pro furniture restoration. I can’t take credit for it. It’s the product.

The product is invaluable for me as an antique seller. The product is easy to apply and does not have a strong odor. The light stain treats small imperfections on finishes and makes furniture look great.

This makes things look really good and is so easy to use. I have a lot of dark wood furniture in my home and it just gets beat up and tired looking with everyday wear and tear. This does a great job of moisturizing the wood and enhancing the finish. It will cover minor scratches but larger ones only works to diminish the color differences. I used it on 4 different pieces of furniture and all had good results. This stuff seems to reach all the nooks and crannies quite easily. It doesn’t take a whole lot either. I would buy this again. It DOES NOT work at all on removing white marks. Maybe mine had been there too long. A dry iron set to cotton using a thin cotton cloth to lay down on the mark while pressing was needed to press the white marks away.

Refreshes old wood. Combined with the wax and feed and you can give all the wood in your home a cheap and easy makeover.

This product does a decent job at improving the look of worn wood surfaces without a lot of effort. It helped reduce scratches and brought back some color, especially on darker areas. However, the finish doesn’t last as long as a full refinish, and the smell is quite strong during application. It’s useful for quick touch-ups, but not a permanent solution if the wood is heavily damaged. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This seemed fine but I honestly did not notice any difference between this and their other product, "feed-n-wax". Since you are supposed to use feed-n-wax on top of this, then I suggest you just skip this product. Feed-n-wax leaves a nice finish and also cleans up tiny marks and scratches. This product (restor-a-finish) did not seem to be any more effective, but did not involve any protective wax.

Excellent product. Great restoring! I had a dusty old wood dresser and it improved it so much! Not quite a miracle worker but definitely improved by a lot

I ordered this because I had 2 tables I was not able to refresh, tried multiple waxing products to revive them. Used this, was easy to use and did not take much prep or time. Just needed to wipe the product on and then wipe excess off. Removed the water stains I was struggling with and that dry look. Leaving with a rich and saturated finish. Not dark as I expected (but I had only done 2 quick applications).

The product has warning that it can expose you to carcinogens, it has benzene and ethylbenzene which are chemicals known to cause cancer.

I can’t believe this exists. Unbelievable difference with little effort; have used this extensively to restore unloved, scratched and sad looking wooden furniture into the beautiful antiques they now are. Utterly mind blown at how brilliant this stuff is
