Typecasting Isn't Always A Bad Thing
I bought a new Surface Pro 8 and of course needed to buy a keyboard...as it was an Xmas gift to myself and no one had said anything about a naughty step I used the 10% Black Friday discount from Curry's Online to cover most of the cost of the cover that includes a finger print scanner (use that to great effect on my Samsung Smartphone so assumed the same thinking could be deployed)Everything works fine - though I've yet to utilise the finger print option as the Surface Pro does so much based on facial recognition, and who doesn't prefer a facial to a finger? My main moan is, as always, over the cost of this essential device which is an add-on to the tablet itself...captive audience or what...

works as described, finger print sign in works flawlessly which was my main reason for getting this one.

Microsoft store in Oxford Street London has closed.
My old one was only 18 months old. No apparent damage but just stopped working. I will see how long this one lasts. Quite dissatisified with Microsoft at the moment as they closed their shop in Oxford Street London with no apparent alternative.

Lasted less than a year
This was my second keyboard, the first lasted a little over a year and the second failed in less than a year. Not good value.

Got it at a better price than the normal signature keyboard.
Got it at a better price than the normal signature keyboard.

Get the normal (non-fingerprint) keyboard instead
The fingerprint sensor works like 30% of the time. Don't bother with it.

it stopped working a year later
Was good, but stopped working after a year later, sadly it's out of warranty now.Would not bother buying another, there are better options available for less money
