I'm a rather short person (5'3") and I was wondering how well it fit shorter/smaller people?

I'm only 5 foot and bought this one today. Fits really nicely. All the fitting is done from the front and you only have to do it once if you wear similar clothes.

Does this have an extra pocket to put small items i.e. keys?

The Trailrunner backpack has a large outside mesh pocket that is great for small items you need quick access to. There is also a bungee cord outside of the mesh pocket for a jacket or pair of shoes.
