The book was delivered in very good condition and also the book was properly sealed by the brand VIBRANT BOOKS which protects it from gettin damaged.A nice and appealing front of the book grabs the reader's attention with infographics to depict the subject and number of questions. Anyway, we're not lookin for a beautiful and glossy book with no useful contents. When you want a good book what matters is the inside content that should be easy to read, easy to understand and the way you can grab the most out of it. I was struggling with huge academic books when I came across this book. It was very easy to grasp the concepts due to the question and answer format. Practising through this book helped me great better at interviews. Highly recommended.

Less pages! More information!In comparison this book to my JAVA COMPLETE REFERENCE which is like encyclopedia of java ! but will you read the whole book and search for it turning pages in hurry if at any moment you need the definition o any particular topic or wanna know about any difference….I used this book not only for prepration of job interview but also for the purpoe of learning theoretical points of core java !The small size will not scare you to pick it up! and the easy answers won’t make you open dictionary again and again making it easy for you to learn basics! It really a great book for viva and also for learning the basics…Now if you think that what’s the need of learning theoretical java when you know the programming but remember that in TI there will be theoretical questions asked to you and answering them properly will be really important!No one is going to ask you to develop a heuristic search program in java, they’ll ask you about simple questions like interface, encapsulation, polymorphism, irregular array and all that…answering them with technical words and specific clear sentences is very important!I myself found it very useful book to prepare and learn! It was easier than reading the complete reference…

From me , this book have a 5 star as it's well structured, and as well for content.

I bought set of 5 books as they were running some deals. Got Java j2ee, jsp servlet, core java, sql server and c & c++ interview questions from vibrant publishers at around $70. I must say every penny spent is worth it. few good things about these books is they have a large pool of questions, no repeats in technical questions, variety (basic, intermediate as well as high level questions) in questions.

I bought this to help out with an interview - I've not had an interview in a long time - but 3% of the way through the book I've found 2 errors, so I'm not so sure how trustworthy it all is. Examples are good and range of questions are good though.

I'm on page 12 of this book, and so far I've found two typos, one probable typo (using bitwise vs logical OR), and a completely incorrect answer. So I guess it's useful as a means of testing whether you can catch these errors, but that's probably not the author's intent.

Close to 300 Java questions covered. Lots of useful questions on collection framework.Really useful if you are totally new to Java and need a starting point to prepare for the interview. Can be used as a brush up book if you are familiar with Java.
