I was too trusting.
I bought three 2-packs of lint screens for my clothes washer. I was very familiar with the product and the brand, having bought them in a grocery store dozens of times.I bought three packs on Amazon. Never again. One of the packages had been opened and then taped shut. The plastic clamp is missing. The product is useless without the clamp.

Poor idea. My washer hose
Poor idea. My washer hose, as does most I am sure, inserts into a stand pipe in the wall. With strainer on the end, the far end of the strainer fills with lint first. Then as more lint piles up the sides of these things, the strainer swells until it touches the side of the stand pipe. And that blocks the stand pipe.Then the good news is that lint isn't getting down the drain. The bad news is that the water backs up the standpipe and winds up on the floor.This needs a rigid constraining sleeve that allows water to flow through.

They collect lots of lint that would otherwise go down ...
They collect lots of lint that would otherwise go down the drain. Only problem is it sprays water all over the place when the lint goes up the sides. Wish they could hold a bit more before spraying water everywhere. I just have to change it more frequently.

Not life changing but they work
They aren't life changing, but they do the job they were inteded for. Trapping lint.
