Amazing!
AMAZING!I purchased this for my vacation house in the Poconos! II wanted an inexpensive way to get internet.... mostly for my security cameras....This worked Beutifully!First.... the price point is Amazing!Works with T-Mobile and Mint Mobile.... verified with my own Sim Cards!I get spotty reception with my cellphone to begin with.... I mounted this in my roof on one of the rafters and I was able to pickup 3 bars and all is good! There are very few towers and far away at my location! My suggestion is... lookup what towers are near you... see what towers your cell phone connects to and see what bands that tower is using. Compare that to the supported bands on the router... if you gat a match... your good to go!Also.... the wifi range is great! I have a wood framed home.... I have this mounted on the roof.... the signal reaches to the basement and around 50 feet away from my house..Things would be different in a concrete/ brick structure... I tested this in an apartment building and got bad wifi range! This unit will not accept external cell antennas... verified, I purchased an external antenna and was not detected.Good luck!

Works as advertised
This 4G LTE router works as described, you'll have to know how to set up a home router/wifi in order to get it working. Out of the box you can connect to the wifi with the WPS button, and from there access the admin portal for the rest of the setup if you have a laptop with no RJ45 port like mine.WiFi signal it puts out is good typical of a wireless N device. I've burned through 40GB of data over the weekend camping in my RV watching Netflix without issue. One of the best selling point for me is the external antenna is detachable which means you can upgrade to better ones or have one mounted higher up depending on your area. After some emails back and forth with support, it seems there is a higher privilege account "root" to access advance feature items like band/frequency lock which I can confirm works. Using Visible cellular service which runs on Verizon at my house it was pushing me to band 5 which only had 1-2 bars, I noticed after booting up it connects to band 4 with full bars and could not find the band lock feature like they described. After contacting support they were helpful to inform me of the root account. On the device side its a 5 star product for me based on it working as its suppose to, I'm very familiar with configuring routers and such so not a big deal but may be for some. But on the support side maybe 4 star since firmware and root account not published... maybe I overlooked instructions. But one concerns is that the root password is admin which can't be changed. Not a big deal since I don't have sensitive data plugged into this device or the device contains sensitive data. But then isn't big brother always watching? No point in hiding...Just need an active SIM card and the correct APN settings and it should work. Tested on Verizon and T-Mobile.

Good, works as advertised, but cellular signal is too low.
Please also see by review of the Alcatel Link Hub 4G LTE router which I got to replace a landline and DSL service, but that unit was not satisfactory because it automatically turns itself off and did not have provisions for setting the TTL.Like the Alcatel unit, the Yeacomm LTE router was easy to set up. It worked immediately with either a T-Mobile prepaid sim card or a sim card for a T-Mobile unlimited talk and phone data plan. Using an analog telephone plugged into it, calls could be received and made with satisfactory, but not crystal clear voice quality. There was always a noticeable delay between dialing and ringing. For internet data, the signal strength at my location was never more than 2 of the 5 bars. Consequently, internet speeds seldom reached 20 Mbps, and were typically 7-8 Mbps. Unfortunately, it was not designed for external cellular antennas that might have increased the signal strength and internet speed. Despite user selectable TTL timing, T-Mobile was able to identify the Yeacomm router by its IMEI as an internet hotspot data device and allocate all internet data via the Yeacomm router against my monthly 5 gigabyte highspeed hotspot data limit. Afterwards, the hotspot data speed was reduced to 3G or about 0.6 Mbps for the rest of the month. For me, this is not ideal but may be tolerable. However, there is another somewhat more expensive solution, Spectrum for coax cable internet access and free telephone and fax via Google Voice accessed by a Obihai OBi202 2-Port VoIP Phone Adapter. So I returned the Yeacomm router and plan to get Spectrum internet service and the Obihai adapter.

I honestly don't understand where I went wrong (???)
I purchased an ATT prepaid plan for this device and also tried a Verizon sim. With both, I cannot get a signal better than 117db or 1 bar. The net kinda works on a Verizon a sim but barely anything happens on the ATT network. I can take each sim, put them into a cell phone, and get three bars right off the bat with 107db or better. How is it that a product with two big antennas and a big power supply are outperformed by a cell phone? My Mint mobile sim card arrives tomorrow. If I still see one bar or less then sadly, I'll probably return this. The whole device looks robust and well thought out but it just doesn't perform for me. The tech support is great and they seem to know the right questions to ask to troubleshoot. I am also wondering if this device is not covering the bands I need. e.g. ATT bands for this device are 2 and 4 but ATT's main bands are 12 and 17 and this device does not cover those. I'm wondering if that is why my cell phone gets better reception with the same sim.UPDATE: New sim arrived but I had not better performance. Sadly, after much time and money for sim cards, I have to return this.
