Lovely lamp
Lovely lamp I bought as my first day light therapy light. I love it seems to work well for me. I set it slightly lower for first thing in the morning and just sit there waking up for 15 mins. I then use again for 15 mins in afternoon then again in evening as I can't take it to work.It seems to be helping me with my mood and sleep.I don't use it right before bed due to blue light can keep you awake. There are various different shade and brightness and one you get use to how to use the buttons it become easy to use.It is quite small approx5 inches which makes it easy to move around. It must be plugged in to be able to use as not battery operated. Also don't stare at the light have it off to the side.

Wonder SAD LAMP
Its a fact natural light plays an integral part in our mental health along with wellbeing. This does work or maybe the thought of it works. I take it to work when I feel stressed and it lifts me, so happy for that. Adjustable light from low to high. Easy to pop in my bag and set up on my desk or at home in the dark months. SAD is seasonal and I have noticed it only comes when the clocks go forward. I would stay outdoors if the Sun shone all the time, but being in an office without a window is not ideal, so we have to do our best to ensure we look after outselves.

Great little lightweight SAD lamp
It's very easy to turn on and off, I love the adjustable angles, the advice on how and when to use it were clear and useful. The three light levels are good - sometimes full brightness is too much and sometimes it's exactly what I want.I really like that it's so lightweight as I move between my house and my partner's house a lot. The only downside to it being so lightweight is that I want it close to my face and sometimes knock it over if it's on the bedside table for example - that can be easily solved by placing something heavy on the stand, like a book.

Great little light. Perfect to keep in my work bag
I bought this as I was struggling with low vitamin D and a bit of SAD. I have a desk job so it was perfect just to prop it up on my desk during the day. It's small, lightweight and compact but effective and so convenient to just have in my work bag to take back and forth. The little stand bit made it perfect and easy to adjust it to any angle I needed. It definitely helped with my vitamin D.

A window for my windowless office
I rent a small and WINDOWLESS office space and I got this to give me the much needed daylight. I use it on the lowest setting, anything higher than that sears my retina!!! I keep it about 1 meter away from my face.I have been in my windowless office for about 3 months before I got this, right through the Christmas months + lockdown. I could feeI my mental health and mood steadily declining so this was my solution. I've had it about 3 months already and it has made a tremendeous difference, I feel normal again and it's the first light I turn on when I walk into my office. I can't imagine life without it now.It has an icy cold light, which I actually prefer because it keeps me awake when I'm supposed to be working. I keep a small cactus right in front of it and the cactus has actually changed it's growing trajectory to face the light. It's awesome!I very highly recommend this light! Great value and really well made!

Stopped working after a couple of months
I liked this light until it stopped working all of a sudden, after only a couple of months. I unplugged it on the screen and something must have come loose cause it stopped working immediately and I can hear something rattling inside it.Before it broke I thought it was great. It's easy to use, great light, lots of settings. Shame it didn't last more than a couple of months.

Very bright, sunglasses not included!
The media could not be loaded. I was a cheapskate and went for the cheapest 4 star plus item via Prime. I ensured it had good reviews and lots of people had purchased. I was cautious as branded items come cost well over £50. I have posted a video and some photos which show how bright it is! The photos don't demonstrate the change in the light spectrum. The warm light is that of a typical 2000k type lightbulb i.e. a warm light and the daylight really is like a cool daylight bulb! I am surprised it is USB at 10W, the unit gets slightly warm as you would expect from 10W on the brightest setting. Can't answer if it helps yet, but the science behind these is researched and proven. The NHS recommends ALL people take vitamin D in the winter. These SAD lamps help generate natural vitamin D as you would in the less darker months.Be mindful though, our bodies produce melatonin during darker hours, that's why we sleep at night! People are woken a lot by daylight creeping in - it's because melatonin is not generated as much when we detect light.Melatonin is a natural hormone but it has a short half life i.e. the time it takes the body to reduce the dose by half. It is as low as 30 minutes if I recall correctly. Caffeine for instance has a long half-life, 6 hours plus - hence why it's not recommended to have caffeine after the sun goes down - you won't sleep! So, you can see why when we detect light, we start to wake, melatonin isn't produced as much and our bodies break down the melatonin we have already quickly. Relevance to SAD lamps? Well, it's generating a 'synthetic' type of daylight!Using it late at night may cause issues getting to sleep. The manual notes this too and advises the warm setting later in the day and or a reduced brightness. I'm a paramedic by trade and I hope that helps with some understanding of vitamin D and also melatonin.

Not what I expected
I enthusiastically got this lamp and happened to read the instructions more carefully than usual - which I’m glad I did! It said to try it out for 10 minutes and if any discomfort was experienced to contact the doctor.I managed 5 minutes before I felt really strange on the side of my face nearest the light which then spread and I am feeling dizzy and weird today - which I presume is related to this. I haven’t contacted a doctor as it’s really difficult to get hold of one unless it’s an emergency - not sure if it is or not.Admittedly I just switched it on and should maybe have sorted out a softer light/colour etc but am sending it back as am not sure my body likes this.
