OtterBox iPhone 13 mini & iPhone 12 mini Commuter Series Case - Black, Slim & Tough, Pocket-Friendly, with Port Protection

Used for an Apple IPhone 13 mini with Otterbox Amplify Glass Series screen cover. Already dropped newer used phone on a wood floor and the phone was protected. Otterbox offers warranty and replacement. Our family has used Otterbox and other brands, but Otterbox is the best!

I work in a dirty environment. Stuff used to get in the phone port and ruin the blade on my Lightning cables. I bought one of these for my iPHone 7. I used it for three years. I dropped my phone now and then on concrete. I dropped my phone on its face. I used it a lot in the shop. I charge it every time I'm in the car so I work the hinge on the charger cover a lot. I never had a problem in regular use. I like it a lot.It's not indestructible, but it protects my phone. I dropped the phone hard one time and the case broke at the corner. The phone was fine. I bought a new case. Also, the bit of silicone at the bottom center, above the charger cover, is thin and breaks eventually. The port still stays clean though. This was to me an eventual cosmetic flaw on a product I used hard for a long time. Not a problem.If appearance is more important than protection, this isn't for you. It's a little clunky. But it's very handable and pretty easy to get into and out of your pocket.I bought a 13 mini and put this case on it. It looks the same and feels the same. As far as I can tell, the current generation of this case is as good as previous ones. On the whole you can't beat it.

Fits my Iphone 13 mini like a glove, after months it hasn't shattered or cracked even with me dropping it regularly. Looks way less chunky than the old otterboxs. Still kinda slippery, often slides off smooth surfaces. The little grip thingys on the sides are a nice texture tho.Only thing i wish i could change is being able to opt for a slightly larger size to add a screen protector since i work around a lot of metal and having my phone around sharp bits of metal means the screen gets tiny scratches over time. Plus screen protectors are good for if you drop your phone screen first on something like a pebble etc…

It seems it is normal for case manufacturers to assume they can use their 12mini cases for the 13 mini. Most of the time it doesn’t fit quite right. I first ordered the SYMMETRY case by otterbox (black) and that was the case. It did not fit quite right and the phone could actually pop out of the case if in the back pocket a certain way. It was close, but not perfect.So, I ordered this otterbox hoping it would be different, and it is! Not only is it $10 cheaper but it offers a little more protection and ACTUALLY FITS CORRECTLY thanks to the two part design, which allows for a little more play.If you’re choosing between the two, get this one. Yes it’s a little thicker but since it’s a mini phone it does not feel burdensome at all. The more expensive SYMMETRY does not have the Otterbox feel, and doesn’t fit right; it feels rather dinky and not protective. It definitely does not feel like a $40 case. The COMMUTER feels like an Otterbox and I feel as though my phone is safe with it.Worth the money, and an easy decision. You can order both and see for yourself, but I guarantee you will go with the COMMUTER.

This iPhone case is a good value, is solid, and feels good in the hand. The little flap that covers the charging port is a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just a good solid case.
