Globe Electric 84637 Designer 40W Crystal Design Bulb

Very cute and does its job reflecting the light upwards so it isn't blaring you in the face if you're not using a cover. Provides enough ambient light without being too dim or too bright. It's a perfect bulb for my shade-less floor lamp. However, while effective, it came really scratched. If it weren't for the scratches diminishing its appearance, it would be 5 stars.

We have a small guest bathroom, the lights would shine in your face when you would stand in front of the mirror. We saw lights like this in furniture store and looked them up on amazon and found these. They are a steal for the price. They still have enough light with out it being too bright

Edison filament bulbs are soft and visually interesting, but they can still be too harsh to keep in your field of vision for long periods of time. These bulbs reflect the light back upward (if hanging), moving the visual interest up there while softening the illumination below. Perfect for lights over kitchen islands, bars, and dining tables.

Had been bothered by the overhead lamp next to my seat in the living room. I was not looking for bright light, simply ambient light. These bulbs are fabulous for that. Also got one for a lamp in my bedroom. Solved my problems. Highly recommended.

Not quite what I expected. The reflection is annoying if you try to mount it upside down, and I agree with other reviewers that these have an awful lot of nicks and scratches from the factory. It also doesn't work well as a vintage style, the color temperature is a bit harsh and doesn't look good on a dimmer. Unless you have a specific light fixture that might suit this right, I'd look elsewhere for your hipster bulb needs.

This light bulb gets EXTREMELY hot with only a minute of use. I was so worried to use it and returned it after a couple days.

Casts beautiful shadows across the ceiling when turned on. Yellow pale light...I hate it

I have light fixtures that takes 6-8 bulbs. I ordered this because in the description it states that is a G25. However it is a G30. So now I have one bulb that is noticeably larger than all the others. If you need a G30, this is a great bulb.

I've pretty much fallen in love with Globe Electric light bulbs and lamps. The vintage and the designer series are both really interesting to add mood and turn lighting into part of your decor.This bulb is really awesome because it let's you use your imagination to create interesting lighting. I am currently using it with a Globe Holden 70" floor lamp that has a downward exposed bulb. It's tall enough that the bulb doesn't blind me and illuminates upwards. Creates a cool shadow on the ceiling and provide ambient light.You could also do some really neat effect with a very minimalistic and slim table lamp to shine downwards.The bulb is really nice, super cool finish. The chrome is fantastic!Some people have noted that these designer or vintage bulbs arrive with scratches and slight "dings" on the surface... but that is by design. The point is to give a slight vintage feel. I think it just right.I feel the price is right for the extra mood these bulbs help create. Really worth it.

Me gustaría que fuera de un wattage más alto, porque el espacio donde lo uso es amplio y necesita un poquiiito más de luz y me gustaría que fuera LED. Pero eso no es culpa del foco, la descripción es adecuada.Lo que sí es genial es la calidad del cromado y la superficie que cubre. De verdad cambia el modo en que se experimenta una habitación, nunca me había dado cuenta de lo molesto que es encandilarte con los focos normales.Lo tengo en la sala por el tipo de luminaria que tengo, que es descubierta, pero sobre todo creo que en una recámara ayudará mucho a no lastimarte los ojos cuando estás acostado.

Saw these in a restaurant while on holidays and checked on Amazon for similar bulbs. First they arrived super quickly and neither had any issue. Exactly the bobs we needed for our dining area. Regular bulbs made it hard on the eyes and these resold that issue and have a much softer glow to our eating area. Very happy with this purchase

I gave it 5 stars because the quality looked good and there was nothing wrong them, but we had to return them.They are larger than regular bulbs so if you want to put them inside a light that has glass domes or balls that go around the bulb you need to check that they will fit. Our light is a Roll and Hill Modo light and these bulbs are too big. Other than that the bulbs are fine.

Tried multiple times with this bulb. Looks great! Quality? Not so much. First bulb delivered didn’t work. You could hear it was blown or broken internally. Okay, return and try again, understandable that it could break in transit. Second bulb arrives! Great it works too! Two days later... it died. Returned and will not buy again.
