Great for Every Day Carry
I have carried a pocket knife every day for 18 years and I finally decided to try a fixed-blade. So far, this Civivi has been great! I wanted to try a fixed blade for three reasons:- The more simple a tool is, the more reliable it is.- A fixed blade is much sturdier.- A fixed blade is much easier to keep clean. My biggest concern was that carrying a sheath in my pocket would be too cumbersome (I have small pockets). The pocket clip that comes with the knife was not intended to keep the sheath in you pocket. The entire setup would slide out and then I would have to extract the knife with two hands.I wanted to be able to draw the blade with one hand. So I purchased the Ulti Clip on Amazon. This “clamps” onto the pocket and keeps the sheath securely in the pocket. It also allows me to set the depth in my pocket. At first the sheath required a great deal of force to remove the blade, but after a couple of weeks of use it has loosened up. The knife clicks securely into place and could never accidentally come out, but also does not require excessive force to remove the blade. In my opinion it’s a perfect balance.I chose to hone the blade at a sharper angle because I like a sharper, but less rugged edge. The steel is easy to sharpen and uses the same alloy as my Chinese made Spyderco. That being said, my only negative has been that it does seem to lose it’s edge fairly quickly, but a harder steel would increase the price quickly.I love being able to use this for food prep in a pinch. The knife is so easy to clean without worrying that I’m going to wash off lubricant, or trap water that will lead to rust. This was always a problem when dealing with folding knives. I have used this as a paring knife or to cut my steak when I didn’t have a steak knife and it’s worked wonderfully.I highly recommend this inexpensive knife as an entry to the fixed blade world, or as a backup for your camping setup.

great light carry knife
The best knifes are ones that you actually carry. This is VERY light and works.

Neat little knife
It's exactly what I expected, nice little knife that allows you to be creative. I'll probably wrap the handle and make a monkey fist to extend it since it's a little small for my hands. As for the price complaints all I can say is you get a sheath that's pretty decent quality. The belt clip can be customized to up, down or sideways. I received 11% off useing Amazon's digital coupon so overall it really wasn't a bad deal for me. Just be aware it is small.

Lanyard Chain
The knife and sheath are decent. The lanyard chain is cheap. Bends easily. Plan on finding an alternate lanyard if you plan to wear it around your neck.

Black coating rubs right off.
The first time I put this in its kydex sheath, I noticed that THAT actually started to make a wear pattern in the black coating.Today I wore it on a small crossbody lanyard, and to my disappointment, when I inspected it, after it basically hanging for 5 hours, the black coating was all scratched up. Not what I’d expect for this price point. The design is beautiful, and it’s simple design make it very appealing, but it falls short on the quality. Really missed the mark, IMO.
