This is a pretty cool little unit
This is pretty easy to work with. The instructions are very simple and the option of being able to not only do rounds, but to have it to stop to do "flat panels" is a major plus. You have to work with it to get used to how it operates and discover the speed for the yarn, so you don't drop any stiches. It does a nice job, all the stiches are even and with the flip of the little switch on the side, you can do the flat (square) panels. That will take a touch of practice and learning the individual machines speed for the type of yarn you will be using. I have both the King size and this one, of which they both operate the exact same. I highly recommend this for your projects, but I also want to stress, you must practice with it and get the feel of how it operates, before you make any final projects. As with everything, you must experiment with it before you have exactly what you hope to accomplish with it. The small one is large enough to do scarves or baby caps and small flat panels, but if you want to use this, straight from the knitter, for an adult size knitted hat, it won't fit an adult head with this diameter. What you can do is, run the lengths through for an adult head and then put them side by side to crochet or knit together. The King size Addi, this will most definitely fit an adult head and still give you some flexibility with your cap. It is also fabulous for making sleeves to sweaters, if you want to do sweaters, with the sleeves fitting the arms with a loose or roomy fit. This small unit will do very well for socks, baby clothes (sleeves) or multi-tube scarves. These units are not cheap made and the quality of the design is well thought out. But, once again, before you make a final judgement on how it works, play with it for a bit to see what the individual unit does and determine the speed to turn the handle, as the thickness of your yarn will make all the difference on the speed of turning it. It does take patience to get the hang of it, but once you do, you will use it all the time. I also use the flat bed knitters, that you mount to a table and slide back and forth, so I'm experienced in what works and doesn't with these kinds of knitting units. Patience is the key to make it work exactly the way you want it too. Thanks.

Paying a little more for quality pays off in ease of use and available online help via YouTube.
Love this machine! I originally bought this to make socks for my mom. I loved being able to pick out the softest, warmest, beautiful yarns and create them with love. It was so easy and fast, that I started making them for myself and then for other family members. There are so. many YouTube videos that give all kinds of tips and ideas that I found myself spending hours learning new and creative ways to make things. What a joy it is to get results so quickly and feel productive.

Reliable, great quality knitting machine.
Love this, I use it for making little kitchen scrubbers. Not the quietest knitting machine for sure, but I have not had any needles break on me yet. It does come with spare needles as well should that happen. Much better quality than some of the other knitting machines on the market.

Unusable. Splits yarn, drops stitches, causes tucks. Every time! Every yarn!
Unusable. No matter what I did, it splits yarn, causes tucks, or drop stitches. I have a Sentro 48, and while it’s tricky, at least I can get usable fabric. I tried various videos and tricks, and nothing worked. I’m doing a big yarn bombing project for a music festival for June 21; I don’t have time to bother with an unusable machine. I feel bad for kids using this. I realize these machines are geared for young crafters, but even with parental guidance they’re going to be so frustrated. Even a toy should work. Returned!

Perfect for small projects and I-cords
The Addi Egg is a handy little tool! It’s great for making i-cords, quick repairs, or adding small details to larger projects. It’s compact, easy to use, and works best with lightweight yarns. There’s a bit of a learning curve with tension, but once you get the hang of it, it cranks smoothly. Perfect for crafters who like quick, satisfying projects or need a reliable i-cord maker.

Don't waste money on cheap knitting machines!!!!!
A few weeks ago I posted a horrible review about a Red Heart knitting machine that was nothing but a piece of junk. It just about put me off knitting machines for good until I found a youtube video someone did, literally comparing the Addi machine to something identical to the Red Heart. The person in question did better than I did with the Red Heart, but after seeing how painless the Addi machine was by comparison, I felt like I had to try it out. Got the machine a full ten days quicker than expected, and wow, what a step up! Every now and again it will lock up, but it's easily fixed. There were also a few skipped stitches, but that was mostly because I didn't realize that you had to pop the yarn under the black piece under the feeder. It did one minimal skipping after that, which could have been avoided if I was going a little slower. The flat panel isn't as tight as I hoped, but would still make a cute stitching for scarves. But since I was mostly planning this for sock blanks and maybe some scarves, I am still pleased! While it does tend to snag for thinner yarns, that's easily handled by knitting both ends of a skein at once for a sock blank or to slowly unravel for knitting sweaters to avoid those nasty tangles. This device might just replace my ball winder, I love it so much.

Far better quality than most

中国製に比べると動作がスムーズ。商品に細かな傷、箱がつぶれて届くという事もない。たど編むとゆったりしすぎとは感じるけど小さすぎるよりは良い。
