Makes brushing even easier.
It didn't fit into my vacuum hose. I have a shark navigator vacuum and this was actually too small for the hose on the vacuum. To fix this I wrapped duct tape around the end of this accessory until it was thick enough to fit snugly into the end of the vacuum hose. If you decide to use duct tape like I did just know that the tape is wider than the accessory is long so you will have to trim some of the tape off when you are done wrapping. Or you can just use electrical tape instead. Other than that it works great. If you have used a furminator before then you know how the fur builds up behind the brush. This attachment prevents that from happening because it sucks up all that fur. In the video for this product it shows the furminator ejecting all the fur and it getting sucked up the vacuum. While the fur does get sucked up into the vacuum the ejector on the brush does not eject all of the fur so I am still having to use my hand to clean the brush. This attachment definitely makes the brushing process easier and is well worth the money.

So close to being a great product but is an epic FAIL as is!
PROS: great idea for a product that I WOULD use a lot in my house with 5 heavily shedding dogs!!! CONS: the furminator comb/brush does NOT fit securely in the handle and it relies on a thin Velcro strap placed toward the top of the holder to hold it. It moved around every time I brushed and then I would attempt to tighten but it just didn’t stay put to do what was intended. Too cumbersome and then when it wouldn’t stay in its place on the attachment,I gave up. Vacuum hose wasnt really long enough and the attachment was too rigid which didn’t help with usefulness. I was super disappointed cause I need the product with the sheer amount of dog fur generated in my life. Rework the handle as an actual hose attachment and that may work!! I am willing to try out any attempts at improving this product!!

fits poorly
Didn't work with our old furminator so we bought a new one. Still doesn't conform to the shape of the attachment very well. Also I have to remove the extensions and do a lot of shoving to get it to just barely fit on our vacuum tube. The attachment has a very narrow space to suck up the hair. The end result is something semi-functional that misses some of the loosened hair and occasionally requires stopping to pull it off the brush or feed the missed piles into the vacuum. I decided combined with the dogs' dislike of being directly vacuumed (although tolerated with much bribery) it is easier to just flip the vacuum on long enough to suck up loose hair, turn it off while creating another pile of hair, and repeat than try to use this method to brush and vacuum at the same time. Furminators also are not very good for use on our smaller husky who has an extra fluffy undercoat in some places. They work great on our akita, shiba, and malamute cross that have more course hair than fluff but tend to just get lodged in the husky's endless soft fur while tearing excess top coat off when there is already more looose fur than we can deal with. Other styles of brush work better for that particular dog. This attachment has very few other brands or styles of brush it will work with so this was a limited option for her anyway. I'm sure there are better, more versatile vacuum brush attachments out there.

Works like a charm - only a couple of issues...
First, if you dog does not like vacuums, this tool will not work. You cannot make a dog that does not like to be around the sound of a vacuum suddenly like it so take that into consideration before you buy it. Our English Lab (yellow) does not mind being vacuumed - I would use one of the brush attachments every now and then when she'd be shedding her undercoat and she'd just lay there. She's very laid back and extremely easy going. Because of that this tool, in combination with the Furminator, is AMAZING.. The only reason I can't rate it 5 stars is because I agree with others when they say it needs to be re-engineered. the components and parts don't fit tightly together and as some have stated, it creates even more noise than there has to be. The trickiest part of this entire process was getting the dog washed, but then figuring out when I had to press the release to allow the fur to be sucked away. We have a Dyson for animals and it attached just fine. So no, not perfect, but sure beats having to brush and then release into a paper bag and that makes it well worth the money. Will try to upload photo of canister a little later when i'm not on a mobile device.

Works great for my husky
Definitely a great product for a dog that sheds. It has helped reduce the mess I have to clean up after brushing my husky. She definitely sheds, especially when blowing her coat, and having the ability to vacuum up the fur as I brush has been a great help. I would definitely recommend for anyone with a dog that sheds. Only issue I have with it is that it would have been nice if it comes with a hose. It does not necessarily fit every vacuum cleaner or shop vac. I had to actually purchase a mini-vac in order for the connecter to fit the hose. Make sure you check the size of your hose so you know if it will fit. Great other than that. Highly recommend.

More or less useless
This product is a wonderful idea, but that’s about it, unfortunately. I’m a HUGE fan of the brush that this is designed to work with, but there are a few technical flaws with this product. Cons -While it says that this will fit all vacuums, that is not the case. I own a few vacuums. (One heavy-duty, one light weight for light jobs, one shopvac) It only fit the shopvac. -I used some of the additional attachments that go with my main vacuum, but it extended the flexible hose to the point where the hose was unwieldy to maneuver. On the vacuum in which it fit, it still left a great deal to be desired. The additional bulk to the hose made it very difficult to manage as I brushed the dog. -While brushing the dog, the hair doesn’t simply get sucked into the vacuum. I had to press the release button for the vacuum to suck up the hair. With that in mind, it didn’t actually suck up the hair. There was something off with the airflow, which cause the hair to stick to the top of the brush. -I wasn’t sure if the attachment came with it’s own furminator, but it doesn’t. I was going to come up with a list of pros, but I couldn’t come up with anything that justifies the price. Mine is going back. All in all, it’s easier to have the vacuum running, brush the dog the old fashioned way, and bring the brush to the hose and press the release button. It sucks up all of the hair that way, and you don’t have to fool with the product at all. It is more efficient than attempting this thing.

Nice attachment
I really like this set up. Seeing other reviews first, I did purchase the FurMinator de-shedding brush with this vacuum attachment. I tried it on our newly adopted young adult husky (oh the fur!) and we were both fighting it with our main vacuum (stand up Bissell) - SO I looked and decided to buy a cheap bagless canister vacuum (also Bissell) and gave that a try - SO MUCH BETTER! He gladly laid on the floor and it was enjoyable and easier on us both. The attachment DOES come with a separate adapter so it can be used on nearly any vacuum. I did not need the adapter for the stand up Bissell, but did for the canister (as showed in pictures). I'm using the large brush, but it also came with the adapter to change out for the small/medium size brush as well. It's nice so you can just push the button and (most) of the fur with whoosh up the vacuum on it's own - and the little bit of loose fur will also get sucked up as you go...another way to help keep the area clean while working out some of the fur.

Gimmicky, and difficult to use...
I really, really like our Fuminator brush. So I was willing to try the 'vacuum' attachment. Perhaps my expectations were too high because we have enjoyed using our Fuminator brush on our two huskies. The brush works well. But... the vacuum device is simply a cradle for the brush that positions the vacuum pickup right under the brush teeth. Now to be fair, the device sort of worked, you could brush the dogs, and when you push the button to clear the teeth, the dog hair would sort of get sucked into the Furminator vacuum attachment. Sort of... The brush itself sits in the vacuum cradle and is held in place with a simple small band of velcro. In my opinion, this band is inadequate for holding the brush in place. You can see from the photo I posted, that when used with our whole house vacuum, the attachment is rather difficult and unwieldy to use on the dogs. And I will be fair and say that a hose directly connected to the Furminator vacuum attachment would be easier to use. This is the first time I plan on returning a product because I was not impressed with how it worked. In my view, the vacuum attachment does not add a lot of value... But, for the right folks, under the right conditions, you may have better luck with it than I did.
