Perfect for teardrop camper
Needed a canopy for small teardrop camper. Cheap solution that looks great, and serves a great purpose, both for shade and rain protection. Probably would not survive HIGH wind (none of them would), but it did do well in steady rain and thunderstorm.Easy installation for me because I already had the racks on top of the teardrop.

Awkward to set up but looks to work well
I installed this at the rear of my enclosed trailer, was easy to install and I used it for the first time over the weekend at an event,, I set it up and tied it off to my other pop up canopy and left them both up all weekend in moderate winds,, maybe up to 15mph.Like the headline says,, it's a little awkward to set up by myself,, but once up and tied off or tied down it seems pretty solid. My plan is to engineer some sort of weighted bases to hold the legs in place while the speeder arms are being extended. All in all,, happy with the purchace

Very nice
I have to say, there is little reason to buy a name brand awning. Very good odds they all come from the same manufacturing floor in China, so why pay the mark up? This unit is light, deploys fast, is well made, and matches the name brands I've seen in function. Perhaps there's some small benefit another has, but an awning is to shade and shelter, and this executes.Did I say it was light? I was concerned about adding a beastly weight hanging off the side of the Jeep, but no worry. The mounting hardware is plain, and in my case, with a rack bar that is outside the roof lines of my Wrangler, there is a several inches gap through which rain and sun can get. I'll remedy that somehow. But if your rack is inside the roof line, you're good. The telescoping stand legs and side tension poles are quick to deploy and simple twist lockers. Certainly not crazy beefy, but in the interest of weight and deployment ease, they're good.

Good Buy. I will be buying another larger version
I read the reviews, and had low expectations. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and will also be buying a larger size. The product was carefully packaged to eliminate shipping damage. I did not have any of the problems noted in some of the negative reviews. The hardware is all stainless steel. The bag is not upside down. The material is quality and thicker than I expected. The Velcro straps are strong and well sewn / durable. It was much easier to set up by myself than I expected, but it would be a challenge in heavy wind.. The aluminium vertical and horizontal poles have rectangular rubber isolators to eliminate rattling when stowed, a nice touch I did't expect at this price point. If I had paid twice as much, I would have complained that the stainless steel brackets were punched without finish clean up to remove the tooling marks and sharp edges. I also would have taken issue that the bolts should also have washers. Five minutes with some 400 grit and a handful of washers, not a problem. The brackets are very generic, which is great for me since I have several applications. If you expect this to bolt up to your Audi without any tools - this is not for you.Summary - good buy if you have basic mechanical skills.

The fabric can become delaminated but is easy to replace.
I like having this awning on my 1998 Chevy Astro Van. I converted the van into a camper van. What I haven't liked is the fabric that the awning has been made out of. I recently bought my 3rd one because with the other 2, one of the layers of the fabric became delaminated and brittle making it no longer water proof. The new awning seems to be made with different fabric and the zipper for the cover has been repositioned in such a way that it is an improvement.I found a waterproof canvas tarp that fits nicely as a replacement for the old awning fabric. I just finished replacing one of the old awnings with it, put it on my van to check the fit and all is good. This is the tarp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CF1WRJTV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1. I have the 6.6 x 8.4 awning. Now I have 3 of these awnings that are good and functional, I don't think I will ever have to buy another one for the rest of my life.

Works great, perfect for the truck
This awning is perfect for the beach. Adds some much needed shade. The awning is very sturdy and the brackets are very strong. I mounted to my bedrack and it tucks up out of the way so I can still fit my Kayaks and Bicycles. The cover keeps everything tidy when it is stored away, and I can fit some extra stakes in there for different conditions. Setup of the awning is really easy, just unroll it, extend the legs, and then extend the horizontal supports, velcro the strips to the horizontal supports and then set the guy lines. The guy lines are perfect to anchor the corners of the awning in any winds. I would recommend this awning to someone looking to stay on a budget, but still wanting something that will last.

Not bad
Nice inexpensive awning. Material is a little thin and would tear when caught on the zipper. Assembly is relatively easy bit make sure to put locktite on the nuts and bolts. Very light so I would recommend getting weights to tie and hold them down during windy days.

Budget awning with great value
Semi difficult for one person to set up, but not impossible. I have it installed on the top of my camper shell on my truck. I recently was in New Mexico with high winds from 35-45 MPH with gusts up to 65 . My awning popped up a little bit and in my sleepy confusion I was still ble to break it down and put it up no problem.Lightweight feature is awesome because I’m doing this by myself. The stakes are good quality and haven’t bent like those super cheap ones you receive with tents.Shade is great for the size. I park facing south and get the most of the coverage. This is probably the best item I bought for this build. The cost and what I’m getting out of it surpasses everything else I’ve put into this. Cannot recommend this enough.
