I am so happy with these - thru really are so good. They're small enough to fit on a windowsill and still close the blind behind them. I have been using them for the past two days and this is the results.

These are fantastic! Really good quality plastic, which surprised me for the price. Been in use for growing my own veg and flower seeds. I like there's a tray that allows you to water from the roots. The dibbing out tool was super useful. Would happily buy again.

Firstly, these are not flimsy plastic. The bases are sturdy with just a little give, they aren’t going to split and fracture on you. The cells have give in them to allow you to remove plugs easily but again they are not overly thin and brittle. The lids again are quite sturdy, a little push is needed to get the green air vent installed and I recommend supporting the lid from the inside whilst doing this, one it’s easier and two to avoid possibly creasing the plastic if you are too heavy handed. It comes with twenty reusable plant markers, bendy but solidly made. The two tools are sturdy with no sharp edges. Lastly the little paper helper guide. For someone who has never planted seeds before it is sensible and helpful. All in all I totally recommend and for the price and build you can’t go wrong.

Arrived next day and in perfect condition. They seem robust enough and ideal for a novice gardener like me. I intend to use these to seed and grow salad leaves, so wish me luck. I would recommend buying these.

I have just received these trays the day after ordering them via Amazon Prime. These seeds trays are stronger than the long (20 cell) windowsill trays that I have used in past years (purchased in a well known discount supermarket store) and the lids are a better fit. The cells are smaller but more than large enough to start of tomato, pepper plants etc. Two of these trays side by side take up less space than the longer trays, infact three of these small trays have about the same footprint as one of the longer trays. So 36 cells in these smaller trays take up little more space than the 20 cells in the long windowsill trays. The lids in these small trays are not as strong as the bases but should be fine and the vent is a very useful feature that should help to prevent seedlings damping off. My first impression is that these trays are more than fit for purpose, good value for money and should last for a number of seasons. My only possible reservation is that (like most of the cheaper priced trays) the lids in particular may distort if left in a very hot position for too long for example in direct sunlight in a greenhouse without shading. But with a bit of care and common sense this is unlikely to be an issue. The plant labels and small tools are useful to have; in the past I have found it difficult to find a pen or pencil that writes well on plastic plant labels so if you decide to purchase these trays, and if pennies allow, maybe consider buying a specific plant label pen with a relatively fine point as well.

Second Purchase. These are excellent for helping seeds to germinate. And they have a decent height to allow for growth!

Much smaller than I was anticipating, I didn't see any reference to the overall dimensions. The trays are 5.5" x 7". They are pretty thin but being so small they are robust enough. The two tools may be useful for something but not these trays, the cells are too small for the tools - better if they had included a small tool to press the compost down. Made in China :-(
