I recently purchased this chain lock with Sold Secure Gold certification, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. At 120 cm long, it’s the perfect length to lock both the bike frame and rear wheel securely to a bike rack or railing. This gives me peace of mind, especially when leaving my bike in high-risk areas. Yes, it’s a bit over 2 kg, so it’s on the heavier side, but that’s a small trade-off for the serious protection it offers. The weight actually feels reassuring—it’s clear this lock is built to withstand serious attempts at theft. The chain links and lock mechanism exude quality, and you can tell a lot of thought went into its design. 5-star recommendation from my side.

Great for our mountain bikes. Long enough to easily lock two bikes to a lamp post or tree. Strong enough to deter even the most determined, bolt-cropper wielding thief. Cloth covering protects bike from scratches. My ten year old thinks it's a bit heavy. I tend to carry it across my body like a handbag when I use it.

There is no doubting the solidity of the chain. It's a heavy piece of kit. The issue that might just be a matter of getting used to how slack the locking mechanism is. It can swing shut before the link is inserted. The other issue is that the key slips out of the keyhole quite easily. The weight of a keyring is enough to pull it out. Minor niggles as long as the bike is always there when I come back to where I left it.

The requirement was for a motorbike lock that hit that magical sweetspot between being not too heavy, not too flimsy, looks tough and ideally, is tough. Well i watched about 34 YouTube videos of people cutting through chains to come to the conclusion that nothing is safe. So I 'rested' the idea of lightweight security in favour of (relatively) lightweight deterrent. At the end of the day, I want to make my motorbike look a bit harder to steal than that one over there. This does the job (so far). Can go in a tank bag, looks the part and actually does feel that it might stop a scrote with a battery grinder.... for at least 30 seconds, which to be fair is about as good as it gets unless you want to spend megabucks, or tow a trailer full of chain.

This company has fantastic customer service, the product is really good, my feed back would be for longevity add a small rubber cover on the key hole to prevent dirt, debris and water entering but other than that, really good.

I got this to secure a very expensive roof tent to my roof rack and car. There are reports of this type of theft getting more common. Very chunky and heavy duty chain with a locking mechanism to match that comes with four keys. Just as good as my Oxford chain I use for my trailer. If you want extra security and 'peace of mind' then you cannot go wrong with this product, especially at the price asked for. Excellent in every way!

Great lock but need to oil the conacter in bad weather don't leave in wet found it out nearly cudnt unlock it got water in side otherwise great product and quality security

Deuxième achat de ce modèle : suffisamment long, solide et correspondant aux exigences de mon assurance. Acheté pour un VAE, l'un pour rester au parking vélo de l'immeuble, l'autre pour accompagner mes déplacements et sécurisé le VAE. Facile d'utilisation. Je l'enroule pour le transporter sous la selle.

Chain is long enough for my use, heavy but that was expected, very happy from purchase, time will show if it is safe enough :) (as for now would reccomend !)

Das Kohlburg-Fahrradkettenschloss ist ordentliche massiv und verfügt über einen Wendeschlüssel, der sehr leicht ins Schloss gleitet. Gerade der Schlüssel ist bei den meisten anderen Fahrradschlössern oft schwer ins Schloss zu bekommen und zu drehen. Hier gleitet er leicht und schnell ins Schloss, was die Handhabung sehr erleichtert. Es werden gleich DREI Schlüssel mitgeliefert. Somit ist man gut gerüstet, sollte ein Schlüssel einmal verloren gehen. Die Kette ist mit 120cm genau richtig lang. Die meisten Fahrradketten haben ca. 90cm, was in den meisten Fällen zu kurz ist, um das Fahrrad an einem Objekt festzumachen und dabei die Kette auch noch durch das Vorderrad zu bekommen. Das ist bei 90cm Fahrradketten nur sehr schwer möglich. Außerdem kann man die Fahrradkette komfortabel schräg um den Oberkörper tragen, was den Transport erleichtert. Die Kette ist durch ihre Länge ziemlich massiv und eignet sich somit auch für Motorräder und wertvolle E-Bikes. Durch ihre Länge und die Massivität ist die Kette ziemlich schwer. Ich finde jedoch, dass das Gewicht noch ein sehr guter Kompromiss aus Komfort, Sicherheit und Andwendungsmöglichkeiten bietet. Der Preis ist für ein Schloss dieser Sicherheitsstufe und dieser Qualität hervorragend. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

La cadena es estupenda pero la compré porque ponía que era de 125cm, algo más de 120cm como otra cadena que tengo y son igual de largas.
