I saw this item on today show for 39.85... why the price difference?

Hello, we are the inventors and manufacturers of tote-a-fort. We were unaware of the Today Show showcasing tote-a-fort as one of their favorite things. We ran out of inventory and someone else jumped on to sell it for near $100. As soon as it was available from us again, it was under $40. Sorry for the delay.

What are the blankets made of (we try to be conscious of toxic materials such as flame retardants) and where is the product made?

The material is rip-stop polyester and there are no fire retardants or chemicals added.

Does it work well with construction forts like the ones feom Lakeshore or Obuby?

Yes this will fit on just about anything. Build the frame then use TOTE A FORT as the cover. Fantastic idea.

How many kids can fit ?

I have a 10 year old and a 5 year old and they both fit with my wife in the middle
