Worth every penny!!
I was skeptical to buy this because of how much work itโs been getting 1 week old kittens to take a bottle, but let me tell you, it is worth every penny!!! Feeding time for 2 kittens went from an hour to about 10 minutes! They latch on and love to paw at the base because itโs a soft silicone. I put the whole thing in the fridge when they are done, and rinse it with hot water while I warm up the milk in a separate container. Highly recommend if you are bottle feeding kittens!!!

Never was able to get it to work. No matter how hard I tried to modify it.
Its made of silicone which makes it soft, but that also makes it impossible to drill a pathway through the 'nipples'. The holes are way too small to let any liquid through. They give you a small tool that you are supposed to use to expand the holes so liquid can flow. Its a thin file. Like a needle but instead of the sides being smooth, it is a fine grit diamond file. While testing it over and over I could barely suck any liquid through it. I mean just a few drops. If I cant do it a kitten certainly cant do it. I even tried a small thin drill which ended up catching the silicone and shredding a small hole through it. That one worked a little but then would just keep dripping.I just gave up after a week of trying. Momma kitty just kept eating pretty much all the time to produce enough milk, until we were able to wean them onto kitty food.I modify things to make them work the way I like all the time. I never got this one to work at all.Good luck to anyone that tries.

LIFESAVER! use it like a bottle
If you're reading this because you're not sure about buying this product, I seriously, SERIOUSLY encourage you to ignore the bad reviews and purchase it.I rescue orphaned puppies. I've tried a number of other bottles/feeders, and this (small size) is the BY FAR the best. Prevents aspiration pneumonia from inhaling milk โ puppies control the rate of milk, and you never have to try to guess the right rate to depress a syringe. The soft silicone and shape allow puppies to latch on really well. If your pup is having trouble and keeps letting go, gently hold their head in place. Make sure their tongue is under the nipple, not above it.FLOW PROBLEMS: pull on the nipple and see if milk beads at the tip (it should bead but not pour out). Switch to a different nipple if one isn't working. Every time you clean it (boil in water or use a baby bottle sterilizer), press a thumb on the inside to squirt water through the nipple. If flow is still not improved after that, you can widen the nipple hole by poking a stick in it.Caution: I do not recommend feeding more than one puppy at once. You can't tell how much milk they each get. DO NOT fill the bowl up and let puppies drink as much as they want โ they will drink way too much and hurt themselves. This product is literally a lifesaver and deserves 5/5 stars. (Note: I have only used the small size)

Hard time latching
The size I think of the small size could have been smaller to make it easier for foster kittens under 4 weeks of age can latch on better. I struggled with 2 of the 3 foster kittens that were only 3 weeks old and still needed milk replacer as they couldn't latch on. The stability was quite decent and the color along with the feel gave that more natural feel once I managed to get them to latch on. But the only thing I disliked was that there was no way to control the leakage or flow of the milk when your trying to put 3 hungry kittens on it.

Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews!
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to order because of the negative reviews but glad I decided to give it a try. It's super important to follow the simple steps that are included with the nipple ball, as I affectionately call it. I think many of the negative reviews may be comings from people who didn't follow those instructions. When it first arrives, you should place it in boiling water for 2 minutes. This not only cleans it but helps open up the holes in the nipples so the milk can flow easier. I also used the included pokey tool to help widen some of them.I was only using it for a singleton puppy (not multiples) so I can't speak to how it would work feeding several puppies at once. However, the ease of feeding one puppy is worth it for me.I had a singleton puppyy delivered by c-section to a maiden dam and she didn't produce enough milk to keep the little guy fed. I had to take over feeding after 36 hours of him dropping weight. I was tube feeding every 2 hours, 24 hours a day. He had no interest in the other bottles/nipples that I tried to introduce. I was sleep deprived and feeling mighty stressed every time I had to tube him.I finally decided to bite the bullet and try this thing even though it had less than 3.5 stars amd was close to $50.I ordered the large size which was the perfect size for my 4 day old labrador puppy. The thing is uber soft. To be honest it's feels a little reminiscent of male silicone s@x toy, ๐ IYKYKThe puppy took to it immediately! No fuss, no fighting to get it in his mouth.I wanted to know exactly how much he was getting at each feeding so I used a syringe to measure much I added to the ball. Then I held the ball in my hand with it tilted towards one nipple. Once he was done feeding if there was any extra I used the syringe to suck it out. Subtracting any volume that was left from the volume I put in, I knew exactly how much he was getting. It's easy to clean with hot soap and water. The whole thing can be turned inside out to make sure you get all the crevices.Totally worth every penny10/10 would highly recommend giving it a shot!

Keep Momma cat away from this product
I filled it once and immediately the mother cat tried to drink from it. In the process she bit off one of the nipples which caused the contents of the reservoir to run out onto the absorbent pad I had put down. Using the pad was a good move! I don't know if the babies got any of the milk, but I am just glad that the mother cat didn't choke on the nipple she bit off. I don't know what happened to the syringe. I'm still looking for it but I think it was lost in the packaging material. I think it would work well.
