Batteries are getting stronger daily. Every semi truck needs one
Sorry for a long review. I highly recommend this product especially to the trucking community. Truck batteries are often used for hotel loads and onboard electronics. They are charged and discharged daily, causing heavier sulfation and making life expectancy of truck batteries often shorter than car batteries. By keeping your batteries healthy, this is a money saving device that can save you money from a service call for jump starting or wasting fuel idling your truck promoting unnecessary wear and tear to the engine. It will also save you money for replacing your batteries annually. I wish I knew about this product sooner so I wouldn’t have many battery problems in the past nor trying to reverse the battery problems I am currently experiencing after the damages were done. A little background about my batteries. I purchased 4 AGM batteries for my semi truck from a retail store that offers 4 years replacement warranty in September 2023. The batteries were manufactured more than a year prior to being purchased. So I didn’t have a good start there I didn’t see the batteries performing any better than the Lead Acid batteries I replaced. Here came October I took the truck to the shop for repairs. At the end of the repair they reconnected the batteries but left one cable out so one of the batteries was connected only to the starter. It was not charged with the rest of the batteries and died in a week from only starting the truck. Eventually I found the problem and hooked them up together and problem solved. Then here came November when my truck had a major problem, ended up cracking the engine head and it ended up also needing an engine overhaul. The truck sat in the shop for 3 months in the cold weather completely discharged. As soon as I got the truck back I put it on shore power which the inverter would charge the batteries when hooked to shore power but there’s one major mistake, the inverter charger setting was never changed to accommodate AGM batteries it was set to charge at 13.5V bulk, absorption and float charge. The battery was undercharged while it was sitting for another month. I wouldn’t realize it having an undercharging issue since 13.5V looked good to me. But the damages were already done the batteries are badly sulfated through sitting around for over a year after being manufactured, fully discharged and sitting in the cold for 3 months and undercharged for a month which could also have contributed to the batteries getting more sulfated. Anyways, here came when I realized I had a problem with the batteries. After I unhooked the shore power and took the truck to work, I realized when I shut the truck off, instead of dropping to 13.0V which AGM batteries should be at full charge, it dropped to 12.3V. Crank starting the engine took a lot longer than usual it took at least 8-10 cranks instead of a usual 4-5 cranks when I first own the batteries. I started searching a fix for the batteries and I remembered a Japanese product called the Nanopulser. It’s a great product I used it years ago in one of my cars until it got into a wreck and I was unable to recover anything under the hood. I looked it up and there’s no one selling it in the states anymore and the closest seller is in Canada asking for $200. So I looked into an alternative product and found PowerPulse. It is reasonably priced at less than $40 and although it’s 2x the price of those cheap Chinese products, it has an NSN number and is backed by many positive reviews. I received the product and installed one on 03/20/2024 before I got back out on the road again. The product manual says it’s best for up to 3 batteries in parallel but all semi trucks have 4 batteries so I did it anyways. There was no dramatic improvement in a short period of time but the improvement is noticeable. The sitting voltage now drops to 12.4V instead of 12.3V and it has started to take less cranking to start the engine. The batteries are plugged in and getting charged with AGM setting now and we will see how it goes. Will follow up with an update. Product installed: 03/20/2024 Initial review (03/23/2024): The sitting voltage drops to 12.4V instead of 12.3V. Crank starting improves Update (04/04/2024): Battery is able to sit on higher voltage momentarily when engine is turned off and sits at 12.6V. Crank starting remains strong even when battery drops to 11.9V Update (04/13/2024): I just took the batteries off the truck since they have capacity issues or there’s parasitic draw which need to be investigated further. Plugged in a battery tester and they all have between 925 -1000 CA even though they are at 12.05V. It proves the product PowerPulse does improve cranking power

Happy with this product it does what they say it does.
I have been using these for years on all my cars and UPS batteries. I have not tested a new battery side by side with one on a battery and one with out. But noticed that the battery does last longer. Every new battery I install I add one of these to it. Its simple to install and are well built. I have called the company over the years with questions and I always get someone that knows what they are talking about.

Works to desolate some batteries
This battery desulfator works pretty well given time. If the battery state of health is down to around 50% it can bring a lot of them back over a couple of weeks. I haven't had luck with AGM batteries getting revived. I think this works better when the battery is out of the car.

Reliable Quality and Unique Features
This unit provides a patented stand-alone feature to desulfate and maintain batteries. Same technology as in all PulseTech chargers. This is trusted and regularly used by the US military, if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me. Not a gimmick. You can confirm the charging pattern on an oscilloscope. Reputable company that stands behind its products with a great warranty and knowledgeable customer service. Always a pleasure to talk to their technicians on the phone when needed. Been using PulseTech chargers for years and my batteries always stay happy. The only heads up is that this PowerPulse unit draws a little power at all times, which matters if it's installed in a car that sits unused a lot, so it's recommended to turn the car on to charge every couple of weeks or just keep it connected to a charger. This unit works with any brand of chargers and can be stacked with other PulseTech products. Supports dual batteries, really can be used on as many parallel batteries as you want, but there's a point of diminishing returns after a certain combined capacity. Best to use one unit per each standard-sized battery for the maximum maintenance effect. Recommended.

Great Lead Acid Battery Desulfator
Great Car Battery Desulfator - Works best with chargers that will float the charge around 13.2 volts after the batter is fully charged to allow the battery to be brought back up to near new capacity, usually takes a few weeks for this to happen. Works well connected to the battery while in the car too, keeps the battery cranking strong.

It works great!
It fixed an old and failing battery, of course result may vary depending on battery state.

Power Pulse, works for me!
I've owned just about all of the pulse type battery de-sulfators made. I've owned Power Pulse units since the 80's. I use these on pickup trucks, a grading tractor, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and anything that rolls and has a lead acid battery. Since this is not designed for aircraft use, I use a Battery Minder unit specifically designed for charging aircraft batteries. I probably save over $2000 year in battery replacement costs between these. With battery manufacturers making batteries that will barely make the warranty period even though they know how to make a battery that will last, it's easy to justify the expense per vehicle if it doubles your battery life...or more. My experience on large Trojan deep cell batteries is about triple the working life. Passenger and light truck batteries will usually double the working life. Aircraft batteries (which are expensive) three to four times the working life. Do the math...you can afford to drop $30 to $40 per vehicle for one of these PowerPulse units.. If you have a non maintenance-free battery (one which you can remove the caps and check the electrolyte) purchase a professional battery hydrometer, and learn how to use it. I use two different ones by Brady Instruments (one for aircraft, one for everything else). These are professional, accurate, USA made quality instruments. Be careful though, these are glass. They do offer replacement parts. No I don't work for them! But in case you couldn't tell, I'm serious about battery maintenance. I know what the battery health is on all of my vehicles, and I'm never surprised with an unexpected failure. The picture I've included is a PowerPulse which is installed on my tractor. This installation saves me about $130 every two years. Update 4/6/2023 I just found a floor scrubber that I had forgotten about for three years that had a power pulse attached to one of the two Trojan (now $1500) batteries. That battery is on it's last leg. The other one is completely unusable. Again, with the cost of batteries these days it pays to use a PowerPulse on your equipment batteries...No I don't work for them.

Extends the life of your battery.
I wish I had known about these sooner. My first one I installed on a 6 year old battery and I got another year out of it. Now I have one in every car.

Appear to work!
I have around 6 of these now. They have been on my batteries for a few months. Time will tell how they go. I'll update this review once they have been in use for a bit longer.

Perfect for batteries that are constantly charged
So good I bought another one! Great for situations where you have a battery that is abused (constantly charged or inconsistently charged). This one sits in my RV house battery bank (inconsistently charged when just parked, then full time charged when using the RV and at powered campsites for weeks on end), batteries are still new and powerful, absorption is great and in 4 years, haven't had to change 1 out yet. Saved $$$ (I'm not sponsored)
