Requires 3 tries
It requires at least 3 attempts before the bar code actually scans. We ended up replacing this with a corded scanner that picks it up on the first try every time.

Barely Works
We got one of these to use at work. We have a lot of things to scan on a daily basis and it simply does not do a good job of the one task it needs to do: scan. It's very hard to take out of and put back into it's charging stand, and once you take it out it takes about 30 seconds before it will start scanning, giving you an ear piercing shriek if you try and scan before it's ready. And once it finally does scan, there is substantial lag, often causing multiple entries to be added to the same Excel cell rather than automatically jumping to the cell below it. Also, the lag often causes it to duplicate characters, as if it's typing each character manually and gets stuck on one. A 10 digit barcode will randomly have one character repeated and suddenly be a 25 character barcode. Absolutely would not recommend this at all, and will be returning to our crappy wired scanner that can at least scan.

and sit back and relax as it sings the beautiful song of it's people for all to hear as ...
From experience with this convoluted children's toy, I can accurately state the many problems that this scanner has introduced to my life:1. First of all, the holder must be designed so that you can throw thor's hammer at it and the scanner will remain safe and sound in the cartridge, which could be beneficial if you have a gargantuan for a cashier, but unfortunately we do not. As a result of this, it takes us humans at least 5 seconds of wiggling and prying to force the scanner out of the holder. Thumbs up for durability.2. By the time that you oust the scanner from the holder, you will soon realize that it enters sleep mode whenever it has not been used for about 20 seconds. To awaken this beast from it's hibernation, simply hit the scanner button, and sit back and relax as it sings the beautiful song of it's people for all to hear as it awakens- which takes another short 20 seconds.3. The ancient song of the scanner is actually not so beautiful; in fact is is quite ear-piercing. It sounds as if there is a poor soul, damned to an inescapable Sisyphean hell, who lets out a scream of despair whenever being resurrected from the underworld, into the world of retail, where it knows it only lives to disappoint.

No technical support
I tried to use it with a iOS based point of sale. The scanner works to input barcodes into notes on my iPad but won’t work with the software. Tried calling and emailing tech support for a month with no response. They get 5 stars for avoiding my questions. Better not do that it will increase their rating
