Works and fits well with my Champion 4500 duel fuel inverter generator.

Must have!!
The media could not be loaded. The dipstick provided with my Champion inverter is garbage. I had to purchase this one to complete break in as I changed the oil after two hours and couldn’t get the original to thread. Had to wait a few days to get this one and complete break in. Nice well made part threads perfectly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Fits a Champion 4500 Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator model #200988
Before buying my generator I watched a ton of YouTube videos, and many of the videos about breaking in a new generator suggested using a magnetic dipstick to catch the inevitable metal shaving that are created as the pistons wear in.My first pic shows a comparison between the stock dipstick and the magnetic one.The second pic shows the magnet on the end of the dipstick BEFORE the first run of the generator, and the third picture shows you the metal collected during the first half hour. Believe me, you want one of these things!I did about 6 oil changes during break in, and I ALWAYS found some amount of metal on the magnet. You don't want to have those metal particles in great numbers circulating in your $1000 genny. The magnet itself doesn't seem super powerful, but it does manage to catch most of the metal. There is no reason to ever use the stock dipstick since you check the oil level by looking at the oil filler hole.I don't doubt that having this magnetic stick permanently installed will extend the life of my generator.

A must have
Ordered this for the Champion 4500 inverter generator for the brake in period to collect the metal shavings of the break in. Not only did it work great, I decided to keep this as my permanent one.

Seems to work and probably a good investment.
I believe a magnetic oil dipstick is a good idea for any engine that doesn't use an oil filter, at least in theory. I waited to receive this part before I started breaking in my Champion inverter generator. (Model 201120) Champion recommends a 5 hour break in period. I divided this into 5 one hour sessions, checking the oil level and the amount of material attracted to the dipstick after each 1 hour session. There was quite a bit of material stuck to the dipstick after the first session. There was a range of sizes stuck to dipstick. The amount of material gradually decreased over session 2 through 5. In addition, the larger particles disappeared leaving a very fine material stuck to the dipstick. So I changed the oil after 5 hours. It was pretty dirty so not surprised if some residue on the dipstick towards the end of the break in period. Will check to see how much material collects on the dipstick post break in.

Should help the generator to last longer
I have a Champion 4650 and the part number in the listing and in my parts manual agree perfectly. The plug fits and surely does not leak at all. The magnet captures a lot of black gunk that is most likely abrasive and does not need to be in the oil. This plug is nicely made and has a premium-looking anodized finish. This will surely wow the crowds at the generator races. I have no complaints about this purchase.

Well made looking part but description is lacking in actual model fitment see below for my model
Appears to be a nicely machined part. Have not installed it yet so not certain if fits well but what I discovered is for my model generator Champion 200914 which is listed as being compatible with this drain plug I would have to remove the OEM outer dipstick tube and thread this plug into the actual engine base. This moves the plug down about 5 inches in my case and makes it harder to see the plug and harder to get at for checking the oil level. Further plug is actually an olive drab looking anodized color which will almost make it unnoticeable when oil drips down over it over time. When you go to the GenExhaust webpage and put in the Champion 200914 number it says must remove plastic tube and by that they mean the bolted on 5 inch tube that the OEM bright yellow capped OEM dipstick installs in. Again this info is not on the description of the listing. Would be great if they linked out their chart by models so buyers would know this before buying this item. Further in Amazon Tech Support tab it says it is not available for this item?? Does that mean mfgr. doesn't want inquires about their products and what they fit? This is for a generator that weighs about 75 pounds so I will most likely be changing the oil when it is on the ground and the oil drain plug will be super hard to see installed directly to the engine that's why Champion put that 5 inch long plastic outer oil tube on for easy checking of oil level and easier filling of oil. That said I probably will still use this because of the magnet for break-in but when and if I don't see anymore metal on the magnet I'll pull the thing out of there and put the OEM dipstick and plastic tube back on to save my back. Just to let you know having known this up front I probably would not have bought this product but I have it and probably won't be able to get my money back since I can't even get tech support on it. Could have been a 4.5 or 5 star product if it had a more complete description or even better yet a typicial photo mentioning discarding OEM dipstick housing to be able to install this oil drain plug. Again I'd suggest keeping the OEM dipstick tube and dipstick for use after generator break in is complete. Oh and honestly price is on the high side so I expect it should fit perfectly and should seal to the engine very well if not I will be updating this review accordingly.
