Awesome cleaning patches i use them in my 6mm creedmoor and 6.5 creedmoor and they work well with a 22 caliber tipped gag .

Work Well, Despite the Loose Threads
Purchased as part of an Xmas gift. My friend said he, as in more than a few of the reviews, had to deal with a couple loose threads on each of the patches. Not a huge deal to him, he says. He does like the woven texture and absorbency.

Didn't need it as much as I thought
I got these patches to clean my .22 pistols (M&P 22 and Sig P226-22). I was afraid to use the patches for my 9mm pistols because I didn't want them to get stuck in the bore (had that happen with a .22 rifle when I was in high school - made my Dad angry and we had to cut off the barrel to remove the part that had the stuck patch). I use the .22 patches to work solvent in the barrel after brushing it, and to put some lube through the barrel. And after each of those uses, I use them dry to get rid of the solvent/lube. However, other than that, for work on the outside and in the frame of the pistols, I find that the larger 9mm patches are easier to handle, so I use about 6 of the .22 patches and maybe 4 of the 9mm. Without thinking last time, I used a 9mm patch through the bore, and didn't realize it until I was done with that operation. They worked just fine. So I may try it again and if it continues to work, I'll just standardize on the 9mm patches. I think the trick is to push them all the way through and then pull them back out. Don't stop halfway and reverse directions - I seem to remember that's what I did with the rifle I ruined. If anyone has any advice for me - like to NEVER use the larger patches in a .22 because I just got lucky this one time, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Hoppe's Quality
Can't beat Hoppe's quality. You might think "a patch is a patch." The last batch I bought were from another company and cheaper. "Good enough," I thought. Wrong. They were irregular in size and apparently made of varying rag stock. Some were soft and fluffy, others hard and not absorbent. Some had regular edges, others were frayed. This time, I spent a little more and got a consistent, high quality product. The Hoppe's patches are uniform, of good absorbency and of good firmness. That is elementary, but you get what you pay for, and the cheap patches were an annoyance and a poor pursuit of economy. Hoppe's patches do the job perfectly, and I don't notice them any more. I don't think that I am supposed to notice them.
