Why did you choose this product over others?: I chose this case because it offered the perfect balance between sleek design, solid protection, and excellent reviews. I wanted something that looked great but also did its job, and this case absolutely delivers on all fronts. Design: The design is stunning – minimalistic, modern, and premium-looking. It complements the phone’s original shape beautifully without adding bulk. It's stylish without being flashy, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. Clarity: The material is crystal clear and stays that way – no yellowing or cloudiness so far. It showcases the phone’s original color and design perfectly, which I really appreciate. Ease of installation: Super easy to put on – it snaps right into place without any effort. You don’t have to worry about scratching or forcing anything. It feels secure immediately. Functionality: All buttons, ports, and camera functions are fully accessible and work flawlessly. There’s no interference with charging, volume control, or using the camera – everything works as it should while staying protected. Ease of removal: It comes off just as easily as it goes on. No need to bend or pull excessively – it removes smoothly without putting stress on the phone or case. Feel: The feel is excellent – soft to the touch, with a secure grip. It doesn’t slip out of your hand, doesn’t attract fingerprints, and just feels really good to hold.

I was keen to protect my new iPhone ASAP, but was sceptical about whether there would be any cases that would fit it (I believe the dimensions are very slightly different to the 12 Pro Max, and the camera array certainly is). I needn’t have worried, because this case fits the phone like a glove. It does add a perceptible amount of bulk compared to it being naked, but you can see how it will protect the phone from drops. It’s reassuringly padded. Every surface of the phone is covered, and there is a lip on the front side of the case that means the screen doesn’t touch whatever surface you put it on. The camera lens protection is also effective. I’m pleased to say that the buttons are not affected by the case, they’re easy to press and don’t squeak or flex. The case did not foul the ESR screen protector I had already fitted, which was nice (albeit expected). MagSafe functions perfectly through the case, with the charging animation reflecting that MagSafe charging is enabled. The case DOESN’T show an animation when you put your phone in it, like genuine Apple ones do, but the case isn’t advertised as being “made for MagSafe”, only MagSafe compatible. It would be nice if future iterations of it supported the NFC chip. The packaging that the case came in was basic and generic, not indicating what phone it was for. I believe this is probably due to how fast ESR needed to get this to market, so we can’t complain here. All in all this is a quality case. ESR have done a great job.

I purchased this for my new iPhone 13 Pro in December 2021, because it would be criminal to leave such a high value item exposed. Having spent a lot of time pondering over options, I eventually settled for this product by ESR because it seemed a reasonable price but also boasted durability and quality. Well, I can confirm it’s certainly for a high quality look and feel to the product. I like the fact it shows off the physical characteristics of my iPhone and it feels rugged. The case is very accommodating of Lens Protectors and screen protectors (in my case, I have an ESR Armourite screen shield installed and an LK lens protector). In fact, they fit like a glove. The raised edges around the screen and the camera give piece of mind that a direct flat impact with a surface would help soften the blow. Luckily, I’ve not yet dropped my device so I cannot comment on its actual protection from a fall, but it certainly has resisted dust and scratches so far. It’s grippy, not slippy, too! Even so, it still offers that clear and shiny look you’d expect from a clear case. My only criticism of this case is that there is not an option where the HaloLock/MagSafe ring is coloured to match the phone (I have a graphite iPhone yet the HaloLock ring is only offered in white on this case). However, I can live with that. Update October 2022: after about 7 months of use, I took the case off to clean it (warm soapy water only) and rid the phone lint build up. I did notice a little yellowing, but nothing to complain about. At the time of this edit (end of October) the yellowing is much more obvious when I took the case off to wash it again. However, it is only around the left, right and bottom sides of the phone where you’d normally hold it. The backplate is still clear, and there’s very slight yellowing around the camera lens area. Saying that, the case is still rigid and serves its purpose, so I’ll try and make do with it for longer. Disappointing that the anti-yellowing isn’t quite there, but it has done its job at looking after my phone, which remains dent, scratch and crack free despite 4 or 5 knocks and drops this year!

Great phone case! Durable and lightweight

This ESR case is a great everyday choice if you want decent protection without bulk. It fits the iPhone 13 Pro snugly and the built-in magnetic ring works well with MagSafe chargers and accessories — quick to snap on and stays secure. Currently in daily use by a 12 year old. The frosted black finish looks smart and hides fingerprints better than clear cases, and the scratch-resistant back helps keep it looking clean over time. The shock-absorbing corners give extra reassurance if you accidentally drop your phone. Overall, it’s a great value case that balances protection, functionality, and style — perfect for everyday use with strong MagSafe performance.
