Fantastic Beasts Story Pack - LEGO Dimensions

This Lego set was great, It a great addition to my Lego dimensions video game to my Wii U, It comes with the character, a creature, and a new story.

This is one of our favorite Lego Dimensions expansion packs. It may cost more than the others, but the story was a fully fleshed out 6 levels that followed the movie's story perfectly. The characters' voices were on point and their reactions to the world and other characters were exactly what you might expect. Newt is a very powerful addition to our increasingly huge collection of characters. If anything, he's too powerful. He has so many abilities that he's made many of our standard characters redundant.Be aware: the initial content download will take over an hour, even plugged directly in via ethernet cable, because it is nearly 2gb.Our only real complaint is not with the game itself, but with Phase 2 in general. We've been plagued by gameplay problems, download issues, and glitches in all of our Phase 2 content. Recently all of our downloaded content stopped working and prompted us to download and install again. After we install, the game does not recognize the installation and prompts us to do it all over again. The only way we can currently play our Phase 2 content is to disable the internet on the PS3, which is unacceptable for a game (Lego Dimensions) that we have invested hundreds of dollars in.But the Fantastic Beasts story pack itself is wonderful. Highly recommended.

LEGO Dimensions had a ton of pre-made "areas" for different shows ans movies and you need at least 1 character from that world to get in the 1st time. (after that you can return with any character).Where the Fun packs and Team packs get you access to a themed "area" inside the game where you explore and collect coins for 100%, This STORY PACK is a mini game inside the game! You play through several levels just like in a larger standard LEGO game, plus you have the access to the main hub world to explore afterwards (inside each themed area). I am looking forward to re-playing these levels as I expand my character collection and have new abilities to unlock more bonuses.In a world of what seem to be all shoot-em-up war based video games with tons of violence, these are a refreshing and fun alternative for your kids, or for the kid inside you! I can't recommend this enough! I'm "stupefied!"

Item arrived in package and earlier than anticipated. It was mostly functional. However, one of the toy tags was broken and needed to be replaced, but I have no idea if this is the fault of the seller.

It is a great set if you are a Harry Potter fan, the only draw back is that you need to have a $100 games set if you want to 'make it work'. It is a good set as a stand alone though. It comes as described, shipped on time and well packaged

Love the Lego Dimensions game, and this story pack is just so much fun! It's fairly quick and easy to play through, but still very entertaining and charming overall. Fun for the whole family.

Includes a fun portal build, as well as a journey through of what amounts to an abridged version of the movie. Not worth $50, but not a bad purchase for $30-$35.
