This stuff is great! I didn't think there was any way this would be enough for my super thirsty cracked leather chair I got for $50 on the marketplace. But I have 2/3 of a container left after doing all surfaces of an oversized armchair. It DOES darken the leather when you put it on (don't go too thick!) but it absorbs overnight. It does darken slightly even after absorbed (just be aware - test it on a small patch on the back if you are concerned). But the chair needed it.Smell - not offensive at all. Smells like a lovely beeswax candle. Just a rich beeswax smell that does not linger. No offensive odor or perfume. I swear! I hate smelly perfumed stuff and this is just "nice".

I have used this product on a number of different leather items over the past couple of years. It has performed as promised - improved the appearance and preserved the leather items I used it on. I put it on an old pair of booth that were hard and dried out and this product restored them beautifully. Lasts too.

Look at the pictures! All I did was use a dollar store make-up blender to apply one coat in a straight and then circular pattern. Where the leather was cracked and a light color, the Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP filled it in and made it a rich dark patina. I will be coating my black penny loafer collection with this product to preserve them long enough to re-sole. My motorcycle leather does't need it yet and neither do my old security patrol boots (mart store vinyl). You can't, you just can't go wrong with this purchase for your leather! Buy it!

This stuff just works. I used it on a leather belt and wallet. My wallet just sucked it up, so I applied a second coat. Will probably need a third. It got rid of the major scratches in the belt.It will darken the leather like others noted, but the color will return if you are patient.It is very thick when cold. I put the container in the sun for two minutes and it made it very easy to apply. I didn’t find it sticky, and it smells good.

Despite reports it may damage the glue in direct attach boots, I decided to use it as leather protection against barnyard acids; hope I don’t get disappointed:)I didn’t use a hairdryer or any heat or melting fearing for the glue - finger or toothbrush w/small amounts all over BUT stopped short half inch from where leather meets the rubber!In that area I applied symbolic amount of Obenauf making sure it does not touch the glue!!!Symbolic, like you wonder if you applied any at all:)Final result is about 2mm of untreated area, glue seems very happy after a week or two and I will report:)Update: nothing going on with the glue liner, same as it came out of the box.As a precaution next time I will leave half inch untreated as the wax seems to spread especially when boots are brushed daily

Used it on leather jackets and gloves. A long process to dry and leaves a large amount of wax but once it bakes in it'll be great. Good water repellence.

Recommend for anyone that wears boots and spends a lot of time in them. Spread nicely over the leather with how thick it is and soaks in well. Keeps boots feeling nice and from during out for longer than regular oil. Protects boots for a little while after applying. Nice price for a great product, can help hide some scratches on finer leather.

This cream is wonderful to condition leather. I apply it with my finders, it melts from the warmth of my fingertips just enough to get a small amount onto my hands and onto the leather. Does not leave a sticky residue and absorbs nicely as long as you don't lather it on. A little is plenty.All leather conditioners will darkenkighter colored leather just a little bit, that is not the fault of the conditioner. It keeps leather subtle and makes small scratches less noticable.
