A: I don’t know, but look for the encircled trademark on front of label to ensure authenticity.  Pine bark and pycnogenol are one and the same. The difference is cost. Pine bark’s much cheaper and is an excellent source, irrespective of its origin, to improving circulation.

A: French Maritime Pine Bark comes from Maritime Pine Trees (pinus pinaster) which is a species of the evergreen tree. Nutricost pine bark extract shows (pinus pinaster) on the back label.
