Let's start with the amazing stuff: The folding function (one handed) works perfectly and is much easier than other highchairs. I've tried and returned a lot of highchairs, but this one folds easier and small and stands on its own while folded. The tray that stays attached when folded and can swing open from one side is super inventive and has solved a lot of our problems. We don't have to remove it when sitting getting her in and out of the chair. It doesn't have to be hooked awkwardly on the back when we fold it like so many others. Now the trade-offs: The lack of recline is a major issue for us right now. Our baby just doesn't seem comfortable the way it sits up so straight. Also, since the seat can't be lowered, we'll never be able to use it at the table. Edit: It's pretty difficult to clean. I still would never want to fight with the trays from other highchairs, but I hope joovy can make it easier to clean for parents in their next nook. Second edit: Figured out how to very easily clean it, just a dish scrubbing brush with some soap and water. Everything scrubs off nicely and then I wipe with wet towel. Honestly easier than cleaning her cups and whatnot.

As a first time mom, I rely heavily on reviews of products before buying anything. This high chair was everything I was looking for as far as looks and ease of use. I hate the way most baby products look, cheesy with characters, oversized, over priced and just an eyesore, but no this one. Reasons to love this high chair: -Very simple and modern look -Leather-like fabric makes it easy to wipe down -The removable top tray is just genius! Its so easy to pop off and wash in the sink. -Easy to put my baby in the high chair as the tray stays attached on one side and swings open so you don't have to take the whole thing off to get your baby in and out. -Folds up so flat and small that you could easily hide the chair away in the pantry when you're not using it -Can't beat the price for such a quality product! Its so hard to find baby products under $100 without them being cheaply made. Ive been using this high chair for a month now, absolutely no complaints!!! Love it!!!

Omg this high chair is beyond with the money!!! It is everything we needed!!!! Very simple and easy to use! I have seven children so I know if thing or two about high chairs and I’m telling you right now this is the best one I have ran across yet. The tray size is perfect the swinging out of the tray is beyond awesome and helpful the seat is comfortable the buckles work perfectly and easily the tray Snapchat close very easily and opens easily for an adult but not for a child thankfully because that would be a train wreck Lol Space is of the essence in my home so the fact that this sucker folds up is a homerun press and it’s not a cheap hi channel is the gam Space is of the essence in my home so the fact that this sucker folds up and does so easily is a homerun for us and it’s not a cheap chair like most of the fold up ones are. You can feel proud when taking this bad boy out into public. When we go to families I just throw this in the back of the car and go. The caring handle on it is awesome and makes it extremely easy to carry around and unfold. I have yet to find a flaw in this Seat. I guess if I wanted to be a complainer I could complain about removing the entire tray and how you have to press the button for each setting to remove the entire tray but who wants to move an entire tray when you can just swing it out you simply set it to your child size and you’re good to go! The removable tray is all you need to completely clean because the bottom tray doesn’t get dirty. For deep cleaning you can just take it out into the lawn and spray it off let it dry or you can remove the seating and wash it. I highly recommend the seat!!!!

I HATE the look of the typical high chair - the plastic, the prints. I hate it. I hated it so much that I bought my first son a wooden high chair. And then, I hated cleaning that thing. Fast forward to now, and the Nook has completely changed my perception of the modern high chair. It's CRAZY compact, and so easy to fold down and put back up that I literally just do it every time I feed my baby. The seat cover is SO nice - I wish my car's upholstery was made out of this stuff! It wipes clean but has this really cool leather look to it. The swing out tray is an absolute lifesaver, no running back and forth to get the high chair ready and then grabbing the baby - I just put him on my hip, and I can swing open the high chair tray with one hand, it's amazing! I LOVE our Nook so much! Like every other Joovy product we've tried, it's built so well, looks SO nice in our house, and make life so much easier for us!

I gave 4 stars because there are 2 things I really hate about this chair. 1.It’s got a lot of nooks and crannies that are hard to clean. If the material on the seat comes off, it’s not easy because I have yet to figure it out. 2. It is all plastic, and that makes it prone to breaking. The redeeming qualities for that are that it’s so easy to use and the removable tray make clean up after dinner easy (as long as the mess stays on the tray and not the seat). That swing open tray is everything! If you’ve ever tried to put a child in a high chair that has the slide on tray that is locked, you understand how difficult that is, and how nice a swing open tray is. This chair is also very easy to fold up and store. It comes folded to there is no assembly other than opening it up. Takes only 30seconds to set up. The other great thing about this chair is the company’s fantastic customer service. My kid is hard on his chair and it began to crack where he is constantly rocking in it. I called the customer service line, and in less than 10 minutes my claim was filed and a replacement chair was on the way. They have a 2 year warranty on their chairs. I never thought I’d spend $100 on a high chair, but I think it was totally worth it after using it for the last 6 months!

Short Version: Simple Assembly, Minimalistic Style & Function, Easy to Clean, Adjustable Straps, Simple Fold — WORTH THE MONEY My twins are babies number three and four for me, so at this point I realize that I don’t need fancy adjustments, ridiculous prices, 700-in-1 seating arrangements, the “Cadillacs” of baby products, etc. At first I was hesitant to buy this high chair because about half the reviews said it was “so hard to clean”. I bit the bullet and ordered two anyway because these happened to be on sale. Right out of the box, assembly was so simple! All I had to do was unfold the highchair and snap the tray on! The tray has 4 adjustments (to bring it closer to or farther from baby) and my favorite part about the entire thing is the clear plastic tray that pops off the top of the white one! It makes cleaning a breeze (no more removing an entire bulky tray that’s hard to clean in the sink!). The seat is like a nice faux leather and easy to wipe down. I think the people complaining about it being too hard to clean are just lazy, on their first baby, or giving their tots Nature Valley Granola Bars for every meal because kids get messes in places you never knew possible, regardless of what they eat, and this highchair’s “nooks” and crannies are no different than any other’s IMO. Maybe purchase a small, battery-powered car vacuum and keep it up in the kitchen?

I am writing this review after a few months of use with my 1 year old. He eats with us at the table as well as both grandparent's houses. We even used it while camping! Overall I like the functionality and portability of this high chair and think it was a great choice for my little one. Here are some more specifics: Pros: -SUPER easy to fold and transport, one handed button/latch -Swing open tray: don't have to use 2 hands and tray stays with the seat -Click-in clear tray topper for easy removal and cleaning -Practically ready to go out of the box -Perfect height for regular table -Easy to use 5 point buckle straps -Leatherette seat is easily wipeable Cons: -As many mentioned, some other parts are almost impossible to clean thoroughly (see pic of "clean" chair), lots of nooks (lol) and crannies, but unless you need it to be perfect, I don't find it that bothersome. I do miss the ease of tossing the cover in the wash, just takes a little more time is all -Base/legs take up a fair amount of floor space and aren't easy to slide -Straps come on lower setting and adjusting them to the higher one was a pain since you cannot remove the leatherette seat cover and therefore can't see what you are doing In the end, I applaud Joovy for their creativity with this chair and hope we get several more years of use out of it!

After much researching on simple, not too high priced high chairs, I decided on this one. It came quickly and when removed from the box no assembly was required. Aside from removing the wrapping and cutting one zip tie, it was ready to use. We unfolded it, inspected it, made sure the tray went on easily and thought, wow, that was so easy. I really like the fact that the tray swings out to the side. It swings out far enough to easily put my grandson in and buckle him up. We adjusted the shoulder straps to fit on him comfortably, yet, hold him in place. He is quite the wiggle worm. The removable tray is a great feature, especially for messy meals. Just pop it off and you have less the mess. I have found the high chair is easy to clean. There are nooks and crannies in the padded seat, but, it's not as difficult to clean as some of the other reviews I have read. So, I purchased a wet/dry cordless hand vac to do this job. We can't expect everything to be easy peazy. I think we are going to be very satisfied with the Joovy Nook High Chair, oh, and it will be very easy to transport when need be. It is now two weeks later and I wanted to add to my review. My Grandson has quickly figured out how to push the buttons on the side of the arms of the high chair and can move the tray back and forth. Not a good feature, (hence, the 4 stars). Food can get stuck in the button holes and makes it a little difficult to clean. A small toothbrush helps pretty good at cleaning out the buttons. I do use a small handheld portable vacuum to clean him and the chair. He likes being tickled by the vacuum. And, less mess on the floor, All in all I am liking this chair. The swing out feature of the tray is awesome and the pop off top tray makes cleanup much easier. It's easy to clean, store and transport. With all that being said, I must say I am disappointed that there was not a detailed instruction booklet that came with it, on how to remove the padded seat for laundering. I had to You Tube the instructions on how to remove the padded seat. Although there are 11 points of disengagement, it shouldn't be difficult. So, if you purchase this high chair, You Tube it to get the instructions.. Thus, 4 points instead of 5. Update: one year later. Thus chair has held up so well, I had to a follow up. Still looks like a new chair, except for a grape juice stain I couldn't get out. No cracks, chips, ot tears in the leatherette. This is by far the best investment for the money. All the buckles and hooks are still 100% in good shape. Still easy to take apart and clean. And yes I still use a small hand vac for the loose crumbs. Great clean up tool. Someone said in a review and also posted a picture with it that the side rails would get caked with food and they couldn't clean it. Solution to that is, you remove the side rails and wash and dry them and place back on the high chair. 5 stars and thumbs up for this chair.

Loooove this high chair. It’s sleek, lightweight, compact, modern. I bought it because I wanted a compact but sturdy chair. It folds up really easy and tucks away nicely, but is still sturdy. Easy to clean. It obviously doesn’t clean itself, you still have to wipe it, but there are the fewest nooks and crannies and material than other chairs. The straps COULD be made of some pleather material instead of nylon fabric which would make it even “easier” to clean, but comfort may be sacrificed for baby in that case.

So pleased I read other reviews and decided to purchase this great high chair! It’s for our granddaughter so I needed something that I could fold away and put in a cupboard when it’s not needed - this is perfect! Folds really easily (one click of a button) and it folds with the tray in situ! It has a carrying handle and is very light so easy to move and put in a cupboard. The tray itself pivots away from one side meaning I can put our little granddaughter in front ways without having to lift her over the top of the tray (much easier now she is getting bigger). The harness is easy to adjust and clip together. The tray comes with a clip on cover which you can remove for easy cleaning and is also dishwasher safe. The seat is very well padded, so comfortable for little ones and it is wipeable for all those learning to eat accidents! All in all a great piece of kit, well worth the money, I couldn’t be happier - oh and our granddaughter loves sitting up at the table with us at mealtimes!
