I love playing Five Crowns!
A friend of ours taught us how to play "Five Crowns" and I wasn't sure if I liked it. Shortly after that, my sister bought the regular Five Crowns cards (not in the tin) and we played it again. The more I played it, the more I liked it! It is very similar to "Phase 10" except in "Five Crowns", everyone stays on the same level for each hand. In "Phase 10", each person has to conquer a level before advancing to the next level. That means that "Five Crowns" is played in 11 hands instead of unlimited hands like "Phase 10". The game moves faster than "Phase 10", so I like "Five Crowns" better because it doesn't last so long.At first, we didn't keep score but once we knew the game, some of our friends wanted to start keeping score, so we did. That's when I learned that you can be ahead the whole game and then on the last hand, you might be left holding LOTS of points! It made it even more fun when we keep score because we never know who will end up the winner. This tin comes with a small score pad and I have found that you may buy more score pads on Amazon or other stores without having to buy the cards again. The score cards are set up to make it really easy to keep score according to the player's name at the top and score for each round with a total up to that point for each person so at the end, you can tell right away who the winner is. I bought this game for each of my kid's families for Christmas this year and hope they will all enjoy playing it like I do.I like buying the card game in the tin box because it makes it easy to pass the tin around the table instead of trying to reach for the cards in the middle of the table, especially if it is a large table. The only thing I would improve on the tin is I think the maker should have put a mark or sign designating one side as the draw pile and the other side as the discard pile. I put an arrow made out of red nail polish on my tray to show which side is the discard pile and that makes it easier for us to play.

Unique and fun game
This is a unique and fun game. Good for the whole family. Later rounds become chaotic when everyone has to hold 13 cards at a time and the addition of a fifth suit makes for a very interesting card game.

Worth the money
This is such a fun game. I gave this set to family who loves the fact that it's got a metal case and score sheets in addition to the cards.

Great came for couples and groups!
Fun & easy game! This game has become a favorite to play for my husband and I. It's a great game for couples as well as larger groups. Love the tin for keeping everything together.

It i s as it is presented.
Fun game! Would be fun for younger kids depending on their understanding of say playing rummy. The only draw back is holding all the cards. If you have a card holder hel I er, would be great for this game,

Wish the card quality were as good as the game play.
This is a wonderful card game. Card games have varying degrees of skill and luck and this one strikes a nice balance, with enough skill to make it incredibly fun and engaging. Having said that, they really need to improve the actual card quality which is awful. I have played cards for over 50 years and can honestly say I have never encountered cards of such poor quality. You are playing with two decks and the cards are a little on the thick side, they have an odd coating, and don't bend well, so they are hard to shuffle. They should just have Bicycle make the cards for them and be done with it. I would say pretty much 7+ on age, but could go younger depending on the child. It can take 30+ minutes to complete the game depending on how many gamers you have. Really fun and only wish they made better quality cards.
