Drill Doctor X2 Drill Bit and Knife Sharpener With Removable Guide System

Very good sharpener already did about 10 knives and still leaving them like knew. I’ve sharpened a drill bit but haven’t used it yet, looks and feels like new though.

Sharpend some knifes with it and scissors with it. Did a really good job on them. Of course it did good on the drill bits.

After spending an hour sharpening a set of bits, they would not work on metal. At the drill dr website ( no where on the Amazon website) it says this model will only sharpen at a 118 degree angle… great for wood. A different model will grind 135 degree for metal. My 30 day return window is closed. $100.00 gone. No return, no exchange. Update: It seems drill dr. Website is a little misleading 118 degree drill bits are fine for mild steel. Back to the bit not working after sharpening… my mistake (?) was not applying pressure towards the back of the grinder while holding the tool. You have to keep constant pressure against the dowel shape post. The bits I have re sharpened now work properly. Hence the upgrade to 4 stars

Excellent sharpening tool. I have used it enough to find that the initial quality of the product meets my expectations. Easy to use and i will get a lot of mileage out of my knives and drill bits.

Got so sick of dull bits that break. Pushing harder does not mean you can force your bits to cut. Sharpness is what we need! The bit sharpener is a great investment, it will help save drilling time, reduce frustration, and no more buying new bits. The only drawback is with smaller bits, the stem is not long enough to line up at the proper angle, and you have to fidget from the exposed end. I have yet to try with the knife sharpening. But with sharpening a few bit sets, I already recouped 50% of the investment. I regret not getting the sharpener sooner.

For the price I thought the knife sharpener would be a great addition. Its a flimsy spinning disk with abrasive. Maybe this will last but it was a very weak sharpener. The drill bit part is great, just get the one without tge knife part and save money

Easy to sharpen old drills, and I tested the sharpener on the worst knife in our drawer, one my wife won't normally even bother sharpening by hand. When we were cooking, I used it to cut some veggies, then rinsed it and handed it to her to cut something else. She asked me, "What did you do to thud knife?!" It was sharp, maybe sharper than when it was new)it's old and cheap). With this sharpener, it was not difficult to achieve that edge. This is definitely a keeper!

Not as good as sharpening by hand but does the job. I find the knife sharpener on the back is pretty much useless
