Yes, they are sturdy, good quality scissors. Of course, you can find even more sturdy, eight times harder than regular ones instead of three times like these ones but considering the price there is no better choice.

According to the description and what it says about where iBayam manuafactures their scissors, it's in the USA. I'm not sure where but one link said it was near the main Amazon warehouse in the US. You'll just have to enter iBayam and follow their lead. Hope this helps some. Autumn Ruckman
