I’ve never used one of these before but I’m instantly impressed. I’ve always had my phone to track the time between and of each set, but this was inconvenient because it meant I had to keep looking at my phone when doing sets to make sure I kept on time. For example, 1 minute of standing bicep curls or laying chest press wasn’t really convenient to stop my rep/rhythm just to check how much time I had. Plus, if I was near the end of my time, I like to try and push a little more to get a few more reps in so any slow down at the end becomes more of a reason to not try and push the last little bit... also, it meant I had to use my phone and drain the battery a bit. With this clock though, it just sits on the wall and makes audible noises at the 3 second mark so you don’t really have to rely on looking anywhere! If you’re doing HIIT, there’s also a default 5 minute on 1 minute off too, but you also have the option to customize it as you see fit. The clock itself feels pretty durable, but my only complaint is the remote doesn’t come with the 2 AAA batteries needed for it to work. So just be aware that you’d need 2 AAA batteries to use this. Otherwise, the colour of the clock and display looks good, the brightness is good (and can be changed to be brighter or dimmer), it feels like it’s made of good quality, runs as expected, and has a pretty thorough manual too... heck, I was a first time user and was able to set it up within minutes following the guide. A side benefit of this that I wouldn’t use, but just kind of thought of while writing this, but if you’re someone who does any kid of videos for helping people time their sets or whatever, it’d be nice to have this. It’d be one less edit you’d need to worry about and you can make sure you stay on path too. I’ve watched a few videos where they have something like this, so I just kind of thought it would’ve helped them (maybe not by much though!). THE ONLY THING I CAN WARN is if you workout while your kids/significant other is sleeping, the beeps are a little noisy, but the sound can be turned off. So just make sure you turn the audio off if your significant other or children (or parents too) are sleeping or need a break (they're just trying to relax/watch a movie/etc). All in all, I’d easily recommend this for any beginner, intermediate, or experienced fitness enthusiast. It’s definitely going to be part of my routine now for my workouts!

If you spend $100+ on a branded gym timer, you’re wasting your money. Get this.

Maybe it was a defect, but probably stay clear. Good that the seller gave me a full refund.

The timer is definitely practical and has all the features I need for my workouts. But it’s not the easiest to use — even when I follow the manual, it sometimes glitches or doesn’t respond properly. If the interface was more intuitive, it would be perfect.
