How long does the battery last when xlr input is being used with +48v phantom power? also please indicate the type of battery - alkaline or lithium.

When using XLR phantom power the unit only lasts 1.5-2 hours on normal alkaline batteries. With rechargeable lithium ion like the ones from EBL It should last 5-6 hours. I haven't tested phantom on lith-ion personally yet but when not using phantom you get 8-9 hours compared to 2.5 - 3 hours on normal batteries. Should be the same 3x life and maybe even better because the bigger the power draw the worse normal batteries do and the better Lith-ion is in comparison.

Is there way to eliminate ground loops when using this with an AC powered Mixer and ac powered camcorder?

Make sure that both AC cables are plugged into the same source (Outlet) and that both cables have a grounding pin on the plugs. If there is no grounding pin on both plugs then you will need to physically connect a ground wire between the mixer and camcorder.

Do I need any special cable connected to the camera to use headphones?

Just the included 3.5mm jack from the Box to the cameras mic input. If your camera doesn’t have a mic jack this product is not for you.
