beautiful story
I absolutely LOVED this book! (Review by David’s wife) I had borrowed Rent Collector from the library on my kindle and at the end the author gave a few chapters of this book to the reader for free. I LOVED the Rent Collector, so I read the free chapters of the Orphan Keeper…then I got hooked! I read the book in 1.5 days and loved every minute. It’s one of those books you just keep thinking about the story/plot/twists/etc. I will definitely recommend it to friends. It’s written beautifully and it’s a beautiful story! Read it!

Finding your roots is emphasized strongly in the Orphan Keeper. The power of family and the determination to bring it all together.
This story was hard to put down. Through hardship and pain, lifetime of searching, all were brought together. He never gave up. His real success was not money, but what he could do for others. A family brought together by determination!

Amazing story of finding one’s roots
This is a decent sized book but a fast read because it was interesting and well written. I also read and loved The Rent Collector by the same author. Although the main Orphan Keeper story is that the boy is kidnapped from India, there is another story going on. That’s the one about how he went so far in high school and beyond.

HEARTBREAKING, HEARTWARMING, A MUST READ!
This book tells the incredible true story of Taj Rowland, who was kidnapped in his youth and sold to an orphanage in India. The corruption and heartbreak in that poverty stricken country and the journey that eventually led him home, is nothing less than miraculous! This book is an easy read—a beautifully written 'page turner' that's both heartbreaking and heartwarming—a story that definitely needed to be told. Its a story that touches the heart and reminds the reader of the importance of family and the unbreakable bonds that tell us 'who we are' and connect us forever. It's about finding the lost child inside all of us and our innate desire to know we are loved—that we belong. The spiritual impact of this book will make you a believer in miracles and recognize the life-changing value of finding forgiveness, letting go of anger, and embracing the good that comes with tragedy. There are aspects of Taj's story that will never be known, answers that remain a mystery to this day. Yet, family is where your heart is and the impact of choosing our path and making the best of what we have regardless of what happens to us, is a powerful message of unconditional love and hope. We can choose forgiveness. We can choose to help others less fortunate than us. We can choose happiness."Life is resilient. ... it trudges on in the world around us, no matter how deeply our hearts ache." —Camron Wright, The Orphan Keeper"Perhaps there are times in life when we must simply let go and trust." —Camron Wright, The Orphan Keeper"He who keeps the orphans keeps them from harm, watches over their lives, their comings and goings. He keeps them like a shepherd keeps his flock." —Camron Wright, The Orphan Keeper

A good read
Reading the Orphan Keeper was an interesting experience. The descriptions work well to bring the reader into the story although it is such a different world from India to America. It is based on a true story and the explanations given for some of the events in India are quite useful to the reader

Great read
A lovely but hard story as we can only imagine how many children suffered the same fate ...but did they have the same destination with the perseverance to enable them to go on and grow
