Clear sound, and fit great. Having an appropriate HI-Res amplifier really allows for the mid to high range to sound very clear. Lows are great and complement the tweeters well. Been running for a year now with high volume and still sound like new. Might recommend pairing with sub to allow these to carry more mids and highs.

These speakers sound amazing, but I had to add some of the padding to one of the speakers because it synergized with the vibrations from my engine and made an annoying buzzing noise. Was really annoying, but can't really take off a star because padding was included and it fixed the problem.

I own a Ford Explorer Limited 2013, I knew I wanted to upgrade the speakers, not the Amp. So I went with Powerbass speakers, amazing woofers, and their tweeters were much better than the OEM tweeters but not by much. I wasn't happy with the Powerbass 3.5 speakers and decided to upgrade to the Infinity Reference 3.5 and they made such an amazing difference. So I bit the bullet and bought these. Before I continue, I am an audiophile, music and the sound of music is very important to me. I connected these and was shocked on how great they sounded compared to the OEM and the Powerbass tweeters. These blended in well with the stereo, I was able to listen to all of my music that I love loud without it overbearingly hurting my ears, I listened to these on my way home from work for two hours straight, and I can say that there was zero ear strain. Now, please for the love of Christ and all spirits and angels that represent music! do not test these tweeters out with mp3's please! Show these tweeters respect and put in a CD, or listen to satellite radio, or use hi res music to test them. Mp3s do not have the musical capacity to show these tweeters off. With that said, do they sound good with mp3s, yes, but to get the full bloom of these, feed them great sounding music. I tested these at first with hi res music downloads from Amazon, first was Pearl Jam Black, miles Davis kind of blue! I then threw in a CD and played The Eagles Hotel California live SACD and wow.... I was so impressed with the detail that these were able to bring out with these songs. I then went to XM and put on the Diplo house music station and these really shined there! Now, these did not clip on to where the tweeters go in my explorer, I had to Dremel down one of the connectors that came with these in order to get a tight fit. These are superior to the OEM and Powerbass, they will not cause ear strain, they will not give you a headache. They play the music perfectly at any volume. I can compare these tweeters to the very expensive Focal tweeters that are $600.

First image is what you find when opening the box. It's pretty close to 2". Then picture 2 is when you remove the styrofoam cover to reveal the actual speaker. Then the third picture is the Kappa 2" compared to another speaker a 2 3/4" Kicker. Both are Midrange/Tweeter speakers, but only one of them is close to 2" and it is not this one. So, these are getting returned.
