Had water pump and alternator fail at same time. Had to open up cooling system and figured I'd do a refresh of everything. Replaced the belt tensioner with this one and all worked out fine.Videos out there show that you have to jack up car and remove engine mount to replace this tensioner. This is not true! Remove hydraulic spring from tensioner, then remove tensioner from engine. Also, people complained about the tensioner socket breaking on installation. I could see this happening if trying to adjust in an improper direction of tensioner movement. I realized this at installation and install went as it should.

Cheap. Install went fine, everything worked like it should right away. Went to take tensioner off a few months later to get at water pump and the aluminum bolt head stripped right out.

Worked like a charm on my camry 2012. Easy to install and fit perfectly. No more noise.

This is an exact replacement for the 2003 Camry 2AZFE belt tensioner. Replaced with a new belt @ 225,000 miles. The initial quality was excellent. Belt alignment and smooth stroke of dampener we're excellent while cycling (priming) the dampener. Tools needed: A breaker bar with 19mm 12-pt socket to pivot & compress the tensioner on vehicle to swap belt. Also a 10, 12 & 14mm to remove. The RF tire and spalsh shield is removed, engine mount unbolted to jack the engine up off the mount about 2 inches. This is required to raise & remove the long pivot bolt above the car frame. Besure to use larger block of wood or equivalent to spread load and prevent deforming the oil pan from the small floor jack pad.

So far so good. Been a few months now and have had no issues. Definitely recommend if you're on a budget. No noise and quality material.

Like several reviews I read the tensioner broke while installing. I had ordered two as there were 1/5 of the cost of a new one at any of the local parts stores and that also allowed me to get the minimal order for next day am delivery. Well the next day am delivery wasn’t even close and I was notified that the parts wouldn’t be delivered until the next day. Aggravating but no option but to wait as the car is dead in the driveway. Part ended up showing up late that day. Installed the tensioner no problem and when I went to pull the tensioner to get the belt on I could not for the life of me get the tensioner far enough to allow the belt on and on the second try it broke and destroyed my knuckles. I then tried the second point for adjustment further down and require a slim breaker bar to fit. First try no issue got the belt on with enough slack. Left the tensioner in with the broken nub hoping it’ll be fine as is and I have a spare. Do not even attempt using the close and easy 14mm adjusting point go after the lower one.
