This is a MUST HAVE for Golf Cart batteries! Makes life so much easer!
For cart owner, this product is the best product ever invented!!!! Why did I go all those years without this product. I have used a flashlight and guessing on water level all this years and now, WoW a product that works perfect and makes a water battery top off now super quick, no flashlight or guessing required, you don't need to even look, just tip the bottle into the battery opening, press down, the water starts to flow and auto cuts the flow of water when the battery is at the exact proper level! After using this product over a year now I can tell you for the first time ever, I have zero spilled water and NO battery water boil over when charging after a water top off and that was always a problem before using this wonderful product! I have had Club Car electric golf carts for over 30 years, I like to keep my batteries well maintained but has always been a guess as to is the exact proper water level. I would add to much and when the weather gets hot the water comes out of the vents and makes a mess, then you get battery acid on the frame and much more of a mess and possible cart damage. Or I would add to little water and I found I was replacing a set of batteries! With this product and distilled water, it takes the guess work out as I find it fills my Trojan batteries to the perfect, EXACT proper water level. No need to that expensive auto water level products, just buy this and top off quickly every few weeks depending on how hot it is outside. I was worried I might spill or leak when adding water with this product but no, its a perfect, easy process with zero water leaks or spills, this is truly the PERFECT tool! Some reviews for similar products suggest the body of the golf cart may get in the way as you need to be able to get to the battery caps but I can tell you for my 2013 Club Car Precedent it works perfect and super easy. Using this product is truly the only way to tell that you have the exact right amount of water in each cell and that all batteries are filled the exact same. You will be assured of exact equal amounts of water. I did test this product first using a plastic clear drinking bottle in place of a battery as the cap or opening is about the same size as a battery opening. I was amazed that at the exact same place the water will stop when filling that bottle when I was testing how this product works. I would test yours first with a water bottle so you can also see how it works and just to make sure its working as designed prior to filling your batteries. This is a perfect must have tool! I love this product!

It works for this elder lady! Love it.
I use this to add distilled water to the battery of my EZGO golf cart. I never had to do this myself until recently. Older lady here. I took a chance thinking how hard can this be. First, it was difficult to fill, but due to how it functions by placing the nozzle over each cell of the battery to fill, it's understandable. I just held it in place against the work counter edge and poured from a jug. I lost about half of the water after filling as I tried again and again to make sure water would not leak out. Well, it did, over and over. After I gave up and thought I bought junk I happened to notice a Washer on the floor where I was working. Hah. Would have been nice if instructions came with it stating something about the washer or maybe it could have been attached to the filler. I kept thinking all this probably needs is a washer! I am posting my experience that it might help someone else. I love this thing. I did pretty good with it and didn't spill at all! I did recheck all my cells and found only 2 cells could have used a tad bit more. I was timid about overfilling, so likely just me. I would sure recommend it.

Works Great - A Real Problem-Solver
Just used my new Plews battery filler, and it works great. I had been using a conventional "squeeze-bulb" type filler, which was messy and hard to get the level "right". Using the Plews filler, you just fill it with distilled water, uncap the battery cells, place the nozzle into each cell filler hole, and press down (the nozzle is spring-loaded) to release water into the cell. It's gravity-fed, and you'll hear a soft "gurgling" sound as water flows from the filler into the battery. When the proper water level is attained in the cell, it automatically shuts off and the "gurgling" stops (your audible cue that the cell water level is correct). Then you move on to the other cell(s). The Plews battery filler is a real problem-solver. It makes topping-off the cells in your batteries easy (especially those that stay on a "float charger" much of the time, such as golf cart, boat, 4-wheeler, etc.). And, whereas I used to do this every two weeks (using the squeeze-bulb method), I can now confidently drop back to once a month, since I know I'll always have a proper water level in the cells.

Handy item that works great, but pricey
This is a good product. It works great, it seems pretty sturdy. I can't believe that all the years that I have had golf cars, I never had one of these handy items. It sure makes battery maintenance easy; no more flashlights and guessing water levels. The only reason that I am going with only 4 stars, is the price. I want to buy a couple more for the employees but just in the week since i got mine, the price is up. Even with shipping, the price seems hefty. I am going to order what looks like the same thing for about $8 less. I guess that I will find out if they are as well made as this one. If you don't mind the high price, you will be happy with this one.

Much better than any other alternative
This review is being written 12/2/2012 for the Plews 75-030 Auto Shut Off 2 Quart Capacity Plastic Battery Filler sold by Amazon on their website. If you have a conventional lead-acid battery with filler caps, you need to periodically top-off the water in each cell (use distilled water only not spring water or drinking water). This product makes the job very easy. Previously, I used a "turkey baster" style rubber bulb with long plastic tube attached. The tube would drip plus I had to manually look inside each cell to determine if the fluid level was correct. With the Plews filler, all you do is tip the container and push the nozzle down into the cell until the valve clicks. You can hear a "glub-glub" sound as the water fills the cell, and the sound diminishes/stops when done. I have checked many times manually afterwards to see if the level was appropriate and it was. Excellent product and highly recommend it.
