Review: i am old,and yes some technology even fools me.I purchased this book in desperation,as i really did not want to pester my son again with my mobile phone.He is unaware that i did this, but it has helped me set up a new phone with very little input from anyone else except this book.I even managed to grasp some of the language used to explain its workings,so do yourself a favour buy this book and stop relying on your children,they may even be impressed.

Didn't get back to basics.

The author is very technically knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject (smartphones). I found lots of good questions to ask the next time I buy one and/or ask for help setting one up. However, the step by step instructions are no longer relevant in most cases, as the technology is evolving so quickly. That's not the author's fault...just the nature of the subject.
