Systems Analysis and Design (with CourseMate, 1 term (6 months) Printed Access Card) (Shelly Cashman Series) 10th Edition

This book was great! It fulfilled my every expectation of a textbook. It had a cover, pages, and my professor was kind enough to design the whole class around it. There was text and images on each page. The information was pertinent to the title on the cover. Just stellar. SO texty... and booky!

I was hesitant to use rental books, because I love to keep them as reference for later classes. Glad I used amazon's text rental. It saved me a ton so far. Health and Computer books are expensive at the college stores. I paid a fraction of the price and it was easy to rent and return.

This was my first time buying an etextbook and i love it!!! it is interactive and handy. You can take it anywhere and if you have an amazon kindle for pc you don't know internet to read the textbook and it is just as interactive with a wonderful search application!

This was bought from Amazon:The wording indicates that online course material is part of the purchase of this item and was material to my decision not to buy used.The rating is one star because the price of this book, NEW, was nearly $195 and it did NOT come with the accompanying online materialfrom cengagebrain.com. As a matter of fact I am seriously considering returning this and buying used because there is no differencein the products and I could have gotten the exact same book for close to $90. I consider this to be deception if not outright fraud.Amazon needs to clearly state that the book does _not_ come with any online access or that that access must be purchased separately.Over half way through my class and I can safely say that this book is not much better than any other online resource when it comes to actually explaining approaches. In some areas it does marginally better but the content to fluff ratio is much higher than it should be. Furthermore the book fails to cite any sources for information. If I did this in my class I would be charged with plagiarism. The rating stays at one star.

I usually don't like textbooks. They are hugely over-prized. Having an Internet full of information, a collection of articles and videos from the many resources available should suffice any class requirement. Everything in the book can be found for free or an equivalent book can be purchased for 20 - 30 bucks with many, many titles to choose from. The only thing you will be missing is the word "textbook"

This book, as a general overview of concepts is just fine. However, it mostly feels like a big colorful commercial for Microsoft and other Systems Analysis products. I can understand preparing the student for real world work but the book talking about how one product is better than another just seems dishonest in an academic book.

I looked for this book on a couple of websites, and I finally found here for a MUCH cheaper price than the other places. It's exactly what the teacher asked for and it's a very straight forward book, which I would recommend to anybody.

The book was delivered promptly and wrapped up so that I knew it was brand new. The access code I needed was also in the package; it was also wrapped up (which I appreciate). Book looks great and access code works! :)
