I love reading Joyce Meyer's daily devotionals. They always have something to help me with my everyday life. This one is very easy to read and understand. Each day is short and doesn't take up much time to read. I have quite a few of her books and I will continue to add them to.my library.

These daily morning devotions keeps me grounded.

I really like most of this devotional. It’s my second year through and I’m noticing some comments that I didn’t before. I agree with almost everything Joyce says but she seems to have some skewed views about emotions, especially anger. I don’t know all of her story (She talks about some of her challenges in this book) but perhaps emotions have been a challenge for her personally. No one is perfect and we can’t expect them to write perfectly either. She says “Anger is a useless emotion that is not the will of God.(Jan 25)” I disagree with this. Even God got angry in the Bible. Ephesians 4:26 says “be angry and do not sin.” It’s not the act of being angry that is bad, it’s what you do with that anger that matters. She also says on July 12 “Emotions are the number one enemy of the child of God”. I strongly disagree with this. Our number one enemy is Satan. God created us with emotions on purpose, they are not evil. Can Satan play on our emotions and use them to get us to do things that God would not approve? Absolutely. But God can also use them to show us things to react in a way that can help bring others to know Jesus. Overall, this is a great devotional and I have very much enjoyed it. Many more great insights than questionable for sure. Helps to encourage thoughts and praise toward our Creator and a good reminder to seek the guidance and counsel of the One who ultimately hold us in His hands.

I super love this devotional book for so many good reasons; it is not the first devotional book I've finished by Joyce Meyer, and it is already my second. Joyce has such a way of writing devotional books that are simple yet hit your soul so hard. The majority of its verses are from the NIV (which is my favorite Bible translation because it's very straightforward yet hits different). The book is timeless. Very relevant for so many occasions. This is also perfect for gifting AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE POINT. Ultimately, if you are new or a beginner in your devotional journey, this book is very recommendable because it is very simple, easy to understand, no highfalutin words, and NOT OVERWHELMING AT ALL. This is the best guide for reading and meditating on Bible verses if you do not know where to start. Will definitely get another Joyce Meyer book as soon as I finish this one.

I would recommend this book to all Christians. It encourages readers to focus on Christ daily, to pray daily, and even to meditate on the Word of God each day. May God bless Joyce Meyer for this amazing book.
