No spice.
This rosè carbonara was surprisingly mild for something claiming to be tteokbokki. It still had a good flavor, and the rice paste tteok were on point, it just has zero heat.

Perfect, comforting and delicious
So delicious. Instructions say to pan cook but it also works fine in a microwave, I do it in a 2 cup Pyrex so the rice cakes are mostly submerged. About 3 minutes and they’re good to go! Just a little bit spicy.

Mostly good
I've eaten a lot of tteokboki and I do like this brand. Chewy, fresh rice cakes and a decent assortment of flavors - although my favorite from them is diablo which isn't in this assortment. These are only rice cakes and sauce, no fish cakes, so it can feel like there's something missing if you're used to having fish cakes with your tteokboki. They are easy and quick to make and I like to add things like cheese, eggs, cream, or sausages to make it more filling. Best eaten immediately as the rice cakes will absorb the sauce.Flavor ranking1. Sweet Chili - Surprised at how good this was. Only mildly spicy but it might be too sweet for some people. It has sort of an umanmi flavor and is delicious with cheese. My mouth is literally watering thinking about it.2. Original - basic gochujang sauce. Spicier than sweet chili but still not too spicy3. Garlic - like a garlic stir fry sauce4. BBQ - similar to a teriyaki sauce but had an odd flavor I associate with marmite. Looking at the ingredients list the flavor is from yeast extract. It's a little off putting.5. Rosé - bizarrely acidic. I've had Korean rosé tteokboki and ramen too and they didn't taste like this. Vaguely reminiscent of gone off yogurt. Would not recommend. Maybe mine was bad?

Delicious
This is very delicious. The closest I have gotten to the taste of what I remember when I was in Korea.

Not as good as the fresh ones
They taste OK but the consistency and size is not like the ones you get at a restaurant…

Quality product, the flavors are make or break
UPDATE 2: The garlic flavor was decent. Sweeter than I expected.UPDATE: The sweet chili flavor 100% redeems the awful Rosé flavor. Sweet yet savory, just a hint of heat on the back end *channels Food Network* highly recommend. Realizing this is a flavor review. But product-wise? They're satisfyingly squishy when cooked, easy to prepare.I anticipated the Rose to be at least a little spicy, but it was mostly just grossly sweet. I have not tried the other flavors, and I'm pretty sad this is the one I opened first, I couldn't stomach more than a couple bites, it even smells too sweet.. The instructions were simple, so I don't think I did anything wrong. I hope the rest are at least a little better. Hopefully I'll be able to update the review.

Beware! The Diablo is VERY Spicy
I wanted to try this after watching a lot of Korean dramas and seeing how it's considered a real treat and a comfort food. Since I love hot and spicy food, and usually find "spicy" to be not spicy enough, I ordered the Diablo. I prepared it exactly as the instructions said (boil in 60 ml water and sauce, stir constantly for two minutes) and it cooked perfectly with the sauce and water reducing so each piece was coated. I enjoyed the flavor, but I ate too many in a row and my mouth really burned. I put the bowl aside and sucked on ice cubes until the fire was out and then I ate the rest. This time I went slower and the burn was tolerable, maybe because the pieces were cold. I don't understand the reviews complaining about the portion size. Each piece is very chewy and takes a while to eat. With the fiery sauce making each bite an adventure, I was more than satisfied with the amount.

Sweet Chili
Sweet chili is the best flavor so far. Not spicy at all and very flavorful. Great with some melted cheese! Rosé flavor I couldn't even finish. Fake chemical sweetness from the powdered "cream" flavor.
