William Morris & Red House: A Collaboration Between Architect and Owner

A beautiful tour of one of the first Arts & crafts homes. It was interesting to see the changes that have been made since we were there.

i enjoyed this book immensely. The author knows her subject thoroughly and the text is clearly well-researched: the information about William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelites should help to correct some of the misconceptions that could result from a too-literal interpretation of their story as recounted in the recent TV drama series! The illustrations are a strength of this book, forming a relevant and informative accompaniment to the text. I have visited Red House recently, and found the book to be a faithful record of the house and gardens.

A well written, informative book supported with good appropriate photography.
