I modified it a little and used it for my terrarium display. It does get pretty warm, but works for my application. Pretty simple design and not built very heavy duty. It takes some adjustment with the light and when you do it kinda loosens the nut that holds it tight. You can get it stable, but not tightly secure at the light part.

Love it. It is perfect for my betta tank. Going to order another one for my baby tank.

Don't save money buying this cheap garbage and risk burning your house or apartment down.I was lucky to be in the same room when both lights started to flicker and get extremely hot. The first light did this after being plugged in for 15 minutes and the seller replaced it. The second light I received has been plugged in for about 2 weeks with no issues - until last night. Same behavior, I see the light flickering with a strobe-like effect across the room. The light and USB plug were extremely hot, like burning hot. I've tried using 3 different usb plugs and had the same results. These are the same plugs being used for other USB lights and pumps in my fish room. The temperature is what causes the light to start strobing and flickering. I don't want to think about what would have happened if I didn't see this happening in real-time to unplug the light. Don't save money buying this cheap garbage and risk burning your house or apartment down.

This is a really good looking light and you cant beat the price. I got the 10.6 x 11.2 inch one for $27.99. I'm not sure why people are complaining that it doesn't come with a plug when the description clearly says USB. Anyway, I like it, but I do wish it were a little bit brighter and had a little bit warmer color tone as the light is a bluish white. Overall, I recommend this light.

perfect size for my 7 inch wide x 11 inch tall jar.fits well on my console.USB charger / power supply not included. I had a few phone charger that I used, in conjunction w a kasa tp-link smart timer.the metal ring does get very hot.so I dont know the longevity of the lamp / led light.i am buying a second one.other similar ones, with included power supply cost $30 more.

Just acquired a larger jar for “Bob” betta! This sits under just fine. Much better than the light that sat on top and got knocked off continually! Very bright and looks like part of the set-up! It would work on any kind of of jar, tank, vase as long as it has a somewhat flat bottom! A great purchase in my opinion!

This is a really cheaply made product. I only used for an aquarium briefly, and the composite wood is growing mold. The light gets extremely hot, and burned me. I use it now as a plant grow light and stand. The one thing I can say good about it is, it's a light.

It’s ok. It’s decently bright, and more of a white light, but the light itself gets HOT. Almost to the point that you can’t leave your finger on it for long. Bought this for a 2 gallon planted jar. Will use it for now but I’ll be upgrading to something better in the near future.
