Great for brown rice too!
This is the best rice cooker I've used among the last three or four I've owned. I usually cook short brown rice daily and the brown rice takes longer to to cook and prepare. Depending on the rice cooker, the results can vary. However, this one was half the price of my previous cookers, yet it produces much better rice. I didn't have time to water rice before cooking but still came out fine. I love the thick bottom of cooker and durable rice pot. This is first one I purchased from this brand. Beautiful design and easy to clean is a bonus fact.

Perfect rice every time!
I will be the first to admit I stink at getting my rice cooked right normally but now my rice game is spot on and it is so easy to do! Comes out super fluffy and moist each time. My other favorite part is the inside comes out and I just pop in the dishwasher. Clean up is a breeze.

Absolutely Love This Rice Cooker!
I’m honestly so impressed with this rice cooker. The design is sleek and modern, and it’s super easy to clean! The rice comes out perfect every time, fluffy and delicious. I especially love that it can make congee/porridge using the steam function. Such a versatile and important feature me. The inner bowl feels sturdy and high-quality, not flimsy at all. Titanium is the safest option by far.I noticed it’s frequently returned, and I honestly don’t understand why. Maybe people didn’t give it a proper try? Please don’t let that discourage you. This rice cooker is totally worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Attractive, well-made piece of kitchen equipment
In addition to this Toshiba rice cooker, over the past 25 years we have had two zojirushi "fuzzy logic" (as they used to be called) models (all from amazon). All claim to balance cooking time to rice/water so you get perfect results every time, and all have worked pretty well (family of chronic estimators when it comes to weights and measures!)The first Zojirushi lasted twice as long as the second one, but they both lasted multiple years so can't complain. This year, we wanted to try a model with the carb-reducing technology, and this Toshiba model had that, plus all the zojirushi abilities, at a lower price point. I should add that we briefly tried, and returned, the more popular but super-pricey Cuckoo model as not being good value for money. We are very happy with this Toshiba brand. Rice comes out perfectly regardless of the setting. It counts down in minutes from when you press the start button (Zojirushis only showed minutes for last ten minutes). Carb-reduced rice takes longer but tastes great. The steam function is new.It doesn't keep the rice warm quite as well as the Zojiruishi's in that it's a tad dryer in the Toshiba. That's not a big concern for us because most of it gets eaten and what doesn't is eaten for lunch the next day, but if you want to keep rice warm for a long time, this might not be the best one for that.It feels well constructed, it opens and closes with a satisfying thunk, the metal basket for steaming and carb reduction is not thin (as on other models) and the machine itself is that shiny kind of white I associate with sci-fi films like WALL-E (it reminds me of Eve from that film, so I've named it).Overall, highly recommended.

Low carb for sugar level control
Both of my parents are diagnosed with diabetes. So I wanted to get rid of my old traditional rice cooker and wanting to try to low crab rice cooker. It’s have a nice and elegant design and it’s just the right size for my parents. I used regular white rice to cook according to the manual. I would say it taste much better and more fluffy. However as brown rice it isn’t that fluffy. My parents haven’t have white rice for long time. This rice cooker allow them to control their sugar level. It’s easy to use, also like the fact it have eight different program setting plus delay timer. I would set the timer in the morning so the rice would be ready in the evening when they get off work. It’s only 5.5 cups, but for make carb rice it’s recommended for 2 cups only, so it’s not suitable for a big family. It is easy to remove the parts within the cooker for cleaning. Just wipe it clean and put it back. It has non stock inner pot so it’s great for just regular rice cooking since it use induction heating and fuzzy logic which make the rice taste better. If you are use to old fashion rice cooker so give it a few try with the sugar removing metal tray, then it will work like a charm.

BEWARE It Cannot Cook Rice
I bought this rice cooker because of its low carb function but BEWARE, this function does not work. I have tried cooking rice normally and it did not cook the rice fully so there were raw bits in the rice. In addition, the as low carb option does not work either since the rice is either always sogging or not cooked even though I have tried following the directions and adjusting it after the first try did not work. It was not very easy to use either especially since when you follow the direction the rice does not cook. I would say that I really like the presentation of the rice cooker but since it cannot cook rice, I will be returning it.

It's dazed and confused. Not fuzzy.
The standard mode works perfectly in the past 7 months. However, the Quick Rice is not just fuzzy, it's so dazed and confused that it NEVER worked. At the recommended water level, it's always soggy. With reduced the water, it's raw and uncooked. 5 stars for the standard mode. 0 star for the Quick mode.
