I keep coming back to these Faber-Castell kneaded erasers because they are such great quality, and the 4-pack is an excellent value. I use them to lighten pencil sketches before painting with watercolor. Instead of scrubbing back and forth like a traditional eraser, I simply press the kneaded eraser onto the pencil marks and lift. It removes enough graphite that only a faint outline remains, making it easy to hide under paint. These are soft, easy to knead, and leave no crumbs behind. They arrived fresh and pliable, and any graphite picked up by the eraser disappears as it is kneaded. I especially appreciate the individual storage cases, which help keep lint and hair away from the erasers and should help prevent them from drying out. I’ve used them successfully on mixed media paper, 120 lb paper, and both wood pulp and 100% cotton watercolor papers (140 lb and 160 lb) without damaging the surface. They are very easy to use, even for beginners. Five stars and highly recommended.

I seldom give five stars. Doing it here to emphasize that out of four brands that I've tried, this is by far my favorite. Very malleable, doesn't crumble accidentally, although you can easily break off a piece when you need to, and just plain works. And the price is good. I'm well stocked on these, and don't plan to get any of the other brands again.

With 4 artists in the house, these are a must have. Also, they're on the syllabus for a number of classes in the graphic design course I aced. Every artist should have these babies in their arsenal. Great size - fits in a small pocket in my purse, my daughter's bag, takes up little space in the desk drawer, and the plastic containers keep them nice and clean. Great erasability - I use different types of drawing pencils for graphic design. These erasers make my job easier as they do a solid job erasing, and quickly. Which is great for those 2 min thumbnail sketches when I have to create my 35, 50, and 65 sketches depending on which phase I'm in in my design process. For those who are new to these erasers, you knead them. They're soft and fun to mush and twist with your fingers.

They are not as big as what the pictures lead you to believe. I found the same item and brand for less at Hobby Lobby. But they are good erasers for artists. My granddaughter was very happy with them.

I love these! I love the value as you get four in a pack. The texture isn’t sticky and you can take small pieces so you don’t waste it all in one use. The size is perfect and won’t run out quickly. The erasability is fantastic from charcoal to graphite. It’s easy to use and store with the plastic case. The grey color comes back if you wash with sis and water which still works after cleaning when used with graphite. Overall, would recommend!

If you're an illustrator or simply a laymen working with a smudge-able medium, these kneaded erasers are a must. I recently transferred a pencil sketch using a charcoal rubbed backing and of course along with my sketch I transferred almost the entire surface area with a dusting of charcoal. This eraser not only removed 100% of the excess charcoal, it didn't leave a single smudge. The erasers are soft and malleable to shape for small areas and are overall a great size. It's an eraser so ease of use is a given. The price was worth it, and the seller was great with packing and shipping. No regrets, no complaints.
