make sure you use absolutely no Tools when install this ,use only your fingers , the plumber's putty does the seal ,every review from people who installed too tight always says they broke it ,after a couple weeks , you see little plumbers putty come up around the strainer ,just grab bolt with fingers , hold part Under sink with other hand , and finger tightenafter a while it is all settled in and no more touching it , never broke mine ,never had any leak .

I love the all white for my white sink, but the ridge around the top is too thick and the sink does not drain properly

Sure wish I could buy this size strainer without having to buy the whole unit. Nothing wrong with my sink, just needed the correct strainer. This one worked great, but I had no need for the whole part. Expensive way to just get the strainer.
