Great Small Filter
I have one for my 10 gal aquaponics system with several fish in the tank. This has to be the BEST small filter system I have ever used. I had ordered another one for a smaller tank but unfortunately had to return it because it was just a tad bit too big for this other smaller tank. I HIGHLY recommend this filter system overall. One does have to keep close eye on very small fish/fry in that they can easily end up inside the filter. Had one that did, but fortunately, ended up being OK overall The openings at the bottom are just large enough for these smaller fish/fry. Again, I LOVE this filter system and wish a smaller version was made for my other much smaller tank.

A Disappointing Experience that Falls Short of Expectations
When I purchased the AQQA Aquarium Multifunction Internal Filter, I had high hopes for a powerful, efficient, and versatile device. However, my experience with this product left me thoroughly disappointed. In this comprehensive review, I will share my personal encounter with this filter, covering all key points from its performance as a powerhead, waste cleaner, wavemaker, water changer, and dissolved oxygen pump. With my honest and detailed account, you'll gain valuable insights to make an informed decision about this product.Product Description and Expectations :The AQQA Aquarium Multifunction Internal Filter is advertised as a 5-in-1 device, promising to clean fish waste, enhance water circulation, act as a wavemaker, facilitate water changes, and provide dissolved oxygen for your aquarium. With an 8W power rating and a flow rate of 210GPH, I expected a powerful and efficient filter that would improve the overall health and clarity of my aquarium. The three suction cups included in the package seemed like a convenient addition, promising easy installation.Performance as a Powerhead :As a powerhead, the AQQA filter falls short of expectations. Despite its advertised power rating, it struggled to create sufficient water movement, especially in larger aquariums. The flow rate was significantly lower than expected, and it failed to provide the desired level of circulation. This lack of power led to stagnant areas within the tank, which can be detrimental to the health of aquatic organisms.Waste Cleaning Capability :One of the primary functions of the AQQA filter is to clean fish waste. Unfortunately, it proved ineffective in this aspect as well. The filter's sponge and media failed to efficiently capture debris and fish waste, resulting in poor water quality. Even after extended periods of operation, I noticed an accumulation of waste particles within the aquarium, which had a negative impact on the overall aesthetics and the well-being of my fish.Wavemaker and Water Changer :The AQQA filter's wavemaking function left much to be desired. The device was unable to generate the desired water movement and lacked the ability to create natural wave patterns. As for the water changer feature, the limited suction power made the process time-consuming and inefficient. It struggled to remove water from the tank effectively, making routine maintenance more of a hassle than necessary.Dissolved Oxygen Pump :The dissolved oxygen pump feature was perhaps the only area where the AQQA filter performed somewhat adequately. It managed to provide a minimal increase in dissolved oxygen levels within the aquarium, but the improvement was marginal at best. For larger tanks or those housing oxygen-demanding species, this filter is simply inadequate to meet their needs. Conclusion :In conclusion, my experience with the AQQA Aquarium Multifunction Internal Filter was highly disappointing. Despite its promising features and multifunctionality, it failed to deliver on all fronts. From its lackluster performance as a powerhead and waste cleaner to its inadequate wavemaking and water-changing capabilities, this product fell short of expectations. The limited power, poor filtration efficiency, and inefficient design make it unsuitable for aquarium enthusiasts seeking a reliable and versatile filter. I cannot recommend the AQQA filter, as there are far better options available on the market that will truly enhance the health and aesthetics of your aquarium.

Worked for two days then quit
It is louder than just a regular filter and jammed up less than an hour in use with a small piece of debris. two days later the main wave part just quit pumping even though i can still hear the motor running. very limited instructions too.

Love it!
I really like this product. Easy to use. Doesn’t make any loud noise whatsoever. I like that it comes with adjustable air. With some modifications it can do more than just suck the poop and small floating things that aren’t needed in the tank. I love it!

This is a great unit it does what they say it should. Installed in my tank and it started to clean the bottom sediment. Unit is easy to clean comes apart by twisting the top and bottom off. Would highly recommend this unit.

Too loud
Great idea in theory, but doesn't work as well as I thought it would. Apparently water behaves differently than air. Who knew? : PleaseThe pump is really noisy. Fully submersed, it vibrates louder than an air pump. If its that loud outside the aquarium, I can't imagine how loud it is for the fish. The function of the filter isn't amazing either. Rather than particles settling out in the cyclone chamber, they get sucked right into the pump and spat out in smaller pieces.
