Audioengine A5+ Premium Powered Speaker Pair

It's been 11 years and these A5+ speakers are still going great. Still loving it. Has travelled with me across continents, supports 110 and 240 volts. The treble and balance is great with decent musical bass. You can always add a sub if you want more bass. Great detail and sparkle in the highs

Convenient to use. Don't need an amp (they have their own). Fantastic sound for all types of music. Small, discrete. I have had mine for 5 years now and I love them. There's a reason Audio engine haven't bothered updating them over the past 5-6 years: they can't really be improved upon. For the price (INR 20K I paid 5 years back) they are simply unbelievable - they sound better than my previous speakers which cost several times more. One of the rare times in life when you don't get what you pay for - you get far more. Not often that happens, but here it did. I run mine through an Apple airport router (which they are basically designed) and through an Audioengine DAC, which I'd recommend as it soups up the bass as well as improves the overall sound. An easy 5/5 rating

Product is good. Sound quality is superb but the seller is listed the product at more than double price. Not justified.

As on today they are sold for $319 only.. i wish could have it here for the same price.. but there is way out..

They are the best speakers in class, but they should cost around 26-27k, not more than that. Would love to buy them for that price!!!

A5+ et S8 l’investissement ultime 2.1 pour mon setup ! Le son est incroyable, précis (je redécouvre certains morceaux), puissant et couvre un spectre très large de fréquences. Quel pied de jouer en HDR avec un son percutant ! Le seul bémol, le bouton de volume un peu « ship » qui manque de précision. La télécommande est quant à elle bien finie et précise.

La verdad es que son una maravilla. Las tengo en el living room y 10/10. Están conectadas con un ecualizador y el audio es mucho mejor…

Brilliant straight out of the box!!! I wanted a set of decent desktop speakers to work alongside my 2012 Mac Mini and iTunes; I consider myself to be a fickle audiophile. I've a Cyrus 8DAC and KEF LS50 system in my living room and a NAD D3020 & KEF R100 system upstairs but didn't want to faff with a separates system in my office! I did try the Q Acoustics BT3's but they were very bright from the word go and their bass is lacklustre! The Audioengine A5+'s are brilliant straight out of the box! Connected to my Mac Mini via optical and a FiiO D3 DAC they sing superbly with weighted bass, smooth but open/detailed midrange and a great top-end that's clear and precise but not bright in any way! If you're after a decent set of powered speakers for either your desktop system OR to go on stands; I can highly recommend these!

These are the best speakers I have ever heard. The sound is incredible, they are beautifully built, very solid and amazing quality. Be warned there is no protection grill so if you have a pet that likes to scratch things you should avoid this. Also note that these speakers need 30-50 hours of play time to warm up so the sound quality wont be great at first but will get much better the more you use it! Everything you possibly need comes included (cables, travel bags, remote) and everything is of very high quality and overall these speakers sound AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend and if they are too expensive for you Audioengine also makes the A2+ which are smaller and cheaper and apparently just as good. Also I just want to add that these speakers have a built in amp so they will work with any turntable! I just plugged my turntable directly into the speakers and the quality is fantastic but it doesn't play very loud so you might want to buy a pre amp as well!
