The story was a mix of all the worthwhile emotions starting from fun to heartbreak. Maya and Noah are the best kind of trouble that are perfect in ways beyond description. They have thousands of reasons to not give in to the simmering attraction they find difficult to contain but at the end of the day love knows no boundaries. Noah did mess up initially but that man actually knows how to make up for it. Maya's bold attitude and Noah's flirting are the highlights of the book. A good read!

why didn’t i read this earlier? okay nothing good sulking now but now that i have read I want more and it’s been 3 days I have read this and i still have the book hangover! recommended to you if you want to get out of a reading slump! ♥️ this might be my gateway to F1 obsession (charles leclerc i only see you🤪) thank goodness it’s a series because i can’t wait to go back and dive to know more about F1 players, their thrill for races and love stories 🫶🏻

This is the first time I read something about car racing. It was definitely amusing to get into this world. While I liked the book and enjoyed reading it, it wasn't something I loved. Maybe the hype about this made me feel really excited and I went into it with a lot of expectations."I list off all the reasons Noah’s bad news in my head. It’s way too soon. I barely know him. He’s my brother’s teammate. Rival even."Maya Alatorre is the newly graduated sister of a talented race car driver Santiago who won a championship and is recently been offered a contract by the Bandini's- a team which his rival, the infamous Noah Slade works with. The whole brother's rival trope was intriguing and while I liked Maya and her mature and clear thinking, Noah didn't appeal me that much. He was the typical manho athlete with abandonment and commitment issues."What a sick joke on me where I crave attention from the one girl I want but can’t have. And even worse, she remains oblivious. I want to spend more time around her and suck up her happiness like the goddam black hole I am."While Maya had goals, passions and a personality, it seemed that Noah was just there for the sake of being her love interest. Like I get it that he was pressurized a lot by his father but his personality was only limited to his abusive father, uncaring selfish mother and racing.Overall, the book was engaging but not "The Fine Print" level of good. Noah & Maya were crazy for each other but I didn't like the way Maya kept repeating how hot he is whenever Noah was in her proximity, that kinda dulled all his appeal to me. Noah was scared of love and he made some seriously questionable choices but when he cleaned up his act, he started to grow on me. One thing I like about Lauren is that she always gives us bonus epilogues, those never fail to satisfy me. It was a good debut novel, I really like the writing style and I'm keen on reading the next books in the series (especially Sophie & Liam's book.)

Okay, this has been on my bookshelf for about a year and wow, I’m so glad i read it. I only starting reading sports romances last year, and hockey is the only sport I’ve read and I do love it. But this, might be the best sports romance I’ve ever read. The sport is actually evident throughout the entire book, I felt like I was on the race track, I knew nothing about racing before and it definitely wasn’t a thing for me, but wow. I feel like the story was enhanced because of how well written the entire theme, being F1 racing, was throughout the entire book. Everything else I’ve read is just the romance with a side of the sport, this was so well written and the story kept me wanting more. I didn’t get bored at any point, and I kept wanting to know where the race and season was going to go next. I also love that this wasn’t just a fall in love within 2 weeks kind of romance, this was an entire year, with all the ups and downs, which gave time for a lot of personal growth and development to occur. The characters are a chef kiss, I loved the sass and banter, the relationships and friendships built. I understood and related to Maya so much in not knowing what comes after college and wanting to have time to figure herself out and make mistakes. Super well written and truly beautiful!

Never heard of Formula 1 (don’t hate not a sports person) but this book is great. I have the others in the series in my cart for the next round of purchases

O que falar sobre Lauren Asher ( suspiro)kkk. Comecei a ler a 4 dias e já terminei o 3 livro da autora.Essa história é fofa demais, amei ver a Maya se descobrindo e Noah evoluindo. Para mim a construção foi um pouco rápida demais e sem grandes “problemas”, tudo se revolveu bem depressa sem maiores emoções. Geralmente eu gosto de mais drama. Mas eu gostei mesmo assim, mal posso esperar para ler toda a sequência.

This book was utter perfection! The storyline and plot weren't rushed and were kept in a nice place throughout. Everything about this book was perfect for me.I think my only critiqued be that I wish the book was longer as I absolutely fell in love with Naoh and Maya! Will definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series.
