What size is the barrel?

The barrel of the brush (Cricket Static Free Brush Rpm, 8 Row) not including the bristles is 1/2" (half an inch). Including the bristles, the diameter is 1.25" (one and a quarter inches). I wanted a really small barrel and this works for me. I have a pixie cut and I use the brush with damp hair to style back my short "forelock" when I want it back.

What makes this brush static free?

I have no idea how it is static free but I won't use another brush. I have two because I misplaced one for a short time. I have bought these for my nieces and friends who LOVE it.
