I'm a caregiver for an invalid, and I bought these not for wine but for use by someone flat on his back. The insulation works great -- the ice doesn't melt overnight, and we don't have to worry about condensation. The lids work well. The straws, not so much: I would recommend putting a "bend" in the metal straw for use by bedbound individuals. But we use our own plastic straws, and that works beautifully. I do appreciate the cleaners that were included with the metal straws.
